Humor me: give me some ideas. I've been contemplating saying those three words to my MAN (going out with him for a little over a year), but I am afraid of his reaction & I'm scared I am wrong!? I want to tell him anyway...I do believe what I feel is real! What a shame if my feelings aren't reciprocated. THanks for your opinions/suggestions!

I actually stumbled upon your question while looking for answers myself. There is this girl that I love to the point where I become terrified if I don't see her for a couple days. She's just that important to me. I haven't told her that I love her yet, but I've been planning on telling her for weeks. I always here, "Just tell her how you feel." And, "Just do it next time you see her." Well sadly that doesn't work for some of us. Maybe we can work together on this...
I thought about writing her a note on a piece of paper, telling her 'I Love you,' and asking her not to read it until she gets home. This might work or it might show a lack of ability on my part.
The second plan was to go up to her and ask her if I could walk her home, if she said yes I would start a normal conversation and tell her in front of her house (To avoid that awkward silence that might follow...)
Well that's all I have come up with, these might help you, just turn all the "Her"s to "Him"s and see if it works for you. Sorry I'm not much help on this subject.

There are only 2 good times to say "I love you" to someone.
1. In an emotionally intense moment. You can't create it but you'll know when it is happening.
2. At a completely random time. You can't be kissing or looking into each others eyes or anything like that. Just out of the blue, turn and sat it.

So, say it.
If he doesn't reciprocate right away, there may be a couple of reasons. 1) he's been hurt before so he may want to take his time and be sure 2) he's the type of guy who would take a kick to the head before he let's his feelings show.
Don't worry about it. IF YOU LOVE HIM, LET HIM KNOW!!!!!!

The very next time you see him...what if you never get another chance?
And what does it matter how he responds? You're telling him how YOU feel, right? and that you cherish him well enough to let him know.
Don't make him feel uncomfortable by anticipating a response. Just let him know.
Just make sure you're absolutely certain about your feelings and the person you are allowing yourself to be vulnerable with.

Just say it. You've been with him for a year. If he doesn't reciprocate, then you might want to consider moving on to better things.

Well over a year and haven't said I love you......I think that you need to say asap cause what guy waits for a girl that he doesn't even know if she loves him! Just maybe give a card or something!

If doesn't love you after all that time and reacts in an unwanted way you might be better off with out him.

It depends on how much you really love him. Is it true love or is it " I just wanna get in your pants" love! And if u truly think he loves you back than just say it then a romantic kiss!
