I personally would feel happy that I was thought about, but flowers are kinda boring to guys.
Instead of flowers, give something that he likes, like a cd of his fav band, tickets to a sporting event, etc. flowers are a little too feminine.

Any gift is thoughtful, and I'm sure he'll be touched that you went to the trouble. But guys aren't as into flowers as girls are. I would suggest going with something else. You could bake him something, for example. The way to a man's heart really is through his stomach.

its the thought that counts, and i guess it would be ok for my gf to send me flowers, but think of it this way.... if a guy sends his gf a 6 pack of budwieser(with a note saying "i love you")..how would she feel?
its pretty similar to what you're asking.

i would be pissed off--- i got no use for flowers and now i have to do something in return so show how much i 'appreciated' them.
