to Zero1's answer. She said nothing about abortion.
my brothers about to leave, I think im going to end up leaving after AIT. It sucks but think of it like thery doing what they love to do and let them know youll be home when they come back.
Dont fear them dying. I know its hard. Ive lost a lot of people too. The war isnt as much as a war as it seems. Yea there firing but its more of the US trying to set thier future= democray in stone. Were trying to play big brotehr. Its not working.
If i were president I would have just blown Iraq up. Then we wouldnt be in a rut. We have no reason to fear them so we shouldnt have gone in, in th efirst palce. Idk my thought are scattered. I dont know if im helping at all. Sorry.
My point is, I know how you feel.

I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for supporting our Soldier.

But this war is of incredible importance that most Americans do not appreciate. It isn't a football game with time limits or a maximum number of overtimes. The enemy does not play by the rules, not even out of bounds.

The cost of winning is tremendous and will take decades. The cost of losing would be devastating and last lifetimes. We have had a lot of successes and done a lot of good that isn't in the media. I have posted some of these on my blog. In my older articles, I've explained the why of it's importance. I can understand your frustration because the media portrays only the negatives and the politicians are trampling the graves of our Soldiers to gain votes while denying the explanations to the American people of the importance of this war. Take a look at my blog, feel free to send me a message if you have more questions or I didn't define something well enough.

How do you think I feel? I have to leave my wife and child. My friends have to leave their wife and children. We go to Iraq and bust our asses to help a government stand itself up so it can be a better country and all we get is rants like yours. We get anti-war antagonists. We get yelled at by Americans, spit on and insulted. The media lies about nearly everything we do or they don't report it at all unless it is scandalous or involves death.

Why don't you just support your family and friends with their choice to serve their country instead of ranting about a war that they chose to support by joining the service.

You have no idea how much your complaint here and all the negative answers affect the troops on the ground. But none of you have been there, so you have no clue as to the good being done.

We continue this war because it is the right thing to do for the country of Iraq and her people. We do it because we are the only country who is willing to put her sons and daughters in harms way for another countries freedoms.

Now you know.

20 rules sounds like a career anti-war heckler. He is probably more violent than any terrorist and harbors hatred for all American Soldiers. He is simply a sad little man.

Q-burt I totally agree with you. We here in the U.S. have the easy part. These men and women are over there fighting to keep terrorist attacks off our soil, and people here are protesting this fact. Do you want another attack on the U.S.? That's what would happen if we withdrew our troops. I want my husband home, but I also understand that when he enlisted, the Marines come first, and that he would be deployed. I miss him everyday, but I'm so proud of him. Support our troops, ALWAYS. They sacrifice their lives for you.

20 Rules: They don't gun down anyone in their path. If they are attacked, they fight back, that's what they do.

I am also sick of it. But imagine how sick the people of Iraq are? They have lost entire families there. Like all war, it hurts both sides. Let's not forget that the people of Iraq have feelings and value as well.

It is true that we are all suffering from war fatigue. It has gone on much longer than we were prepared for and has become very divisive.

That being said, the mission is critical and our military is doing it very well. Those honorable Americans should be the source of great pride for doing what they are doing for our sake. We want it to be over, but we are not yet done.

join the club. Many are sick of the war as well.

You're right. Its time to get out. The US can't be there forever and ever to protect them. At some point they will have to learn to do for themselves.

The reason we are still there is because Bush is president and no one will stand up to him. The congress said they wouldn't give Bush any more money but they gave it.

I'm not sure what's up with Bush. I think a lot of it has to do with finishing what his father didn't. I htink the oil also has a lot to do with it,too.

He's just stubborn and we can't get out till we get Bush out first. That means we have 2 more years of this. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish there were something I could do.

Yeah, and I'm sick of all the pro-choice people who want to continue murdering innocent little harmless babies who can't defend themselves. That's 40,000,000 since 1973 which far surpasses the genocide perpetrated by the Nazi's in WWII. Makes the holocaust look like a birthday party!

Sorry for you loss. This war has been great for the big business pals of the Bush Administration. Call me cynical, but years before the Iraq invasion, Cheney answered a question about why the first president Bush didn't pursue Saddam Hussein and capture him during the Gulf War. He answered quite presciently that it would be a disaster and what would you do with the country once you removed Hussein from power.

We are all sick of it, and sick of the lies we are being told by the administration about it.

Reading your question ripped my heart making me think back to what my parents went through when I was in Vietnam. As least there we did have a defined enemy.

I am sick of our Marines and soldiers being put in situations like that where they are being shot at from all sides, and have no idea who the enemy is.
Just glad I wan't at that meeting he had with the veterans where he said leaving Iraq would be like what happened when we left Vietnam.
THE LYING BAS###@@D ! Iraq is nothing like Vietnam.

If there ever was a president that needed to be impeached and possibly Court Marshaled it is our current president for first invading Iraq on nothing but lies, and second getting us into the mess we are in over there right now.

Well you got my blood boiling thinking about it got me so mad knocked coffee over on Key Board.
Just hang in there and pray for him, and the rest of our Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen over there.

And that goes for everyone else reading this even if you are an athesit pray for them. They need all the help they can get.
