I normally remember every single thing from small things to bigs things but I suddenly became more absent minded like I plug in the wrong plug or I forget something I was supposed to do. This normally happens during summer vacation where I sleep in and im too relaxed.

How do I regain my sharpness and my ability to remember?

You didn't say how old you are.

Regardless, forgetting minor things is a common "malady" for everybody, regardless of age. Even things we do on a habitual basis can be easily forgotten (e.g., did I brush my hair this morning? what did I have for breakfast?). I tend to forget what I was talking about when I'm interrupted or distracted.

Of course, genetics has a lot to do with it, as do little things like laziness or apathy (e.g., forgetting to do a chore that you didn't want to do in the first place, often referred to as a "convenient memory lapse").

Generally speaking, good diet and exercise are as beneficial to your brain as they are for your body.

There are lots of alleged exercises to improve memory, but I don't give any of them a lot of credence; besides, I'm sure that none are a "one-size-fits-all" remedy. However, you can probably find relevant books at your local library or book sotre, and here are a few decent links for you to . . . um . . . er . . . what were we talking about? ;)
