Just make you mind up, that you don't want to waste your life away, acting like a preteen in junior high...tell yourself, that the work you do now, is going to buy that beautiful house and car some day that you always wanted,...make a target, like that...something you reallly really want, and go for it., wether it is riches, fame, etc...remember, that you want that independence,...so work for it and you won't be sorry

First of all you're winning the battle by recognizing that you are a procrastinator.Good for you. This might be caused by your sadness and desperate feelings. Sometimes when we feel overwhelmed, we throw up our hands because we don't know where to start.
If this is the case, try this. Start anywhere. Get one thing done right away and write it down under "things I accomplished." Then do another and so on. You will see how fast the list grows. Also, there is nothing wrong with talking to someone about how you are feeling. That does not take away from your independence but enhances you by opening up. You might get some great feed back . Everyone, needs someone to talk to. Good luck.

I don't know any long-term answers but in the short term this has worked for me!:
Go travelling. On your own. It will push you mentally if you are not used to doing things for yourself, but it will feel highly rewarding that you have done it all by yourself.
If you can, visit places that are poorer and don't have your level of comfort back home. I visited eastern europe, and even though it wasn't a third world country, I decided that I was lucky to have been born in the UK where there are more opportunities to succeed. As a result I'm back home and behaving a lot more maturely, I am actually pushing myself to meet deadlines etc. I hope I don't fall back into the old lazy routine! Good Luck!

Lots of people procrastinate. It doesnt always have something to do with maturity. What helps me is to make a TO DO LIST, then check it off as i go along. I can see what I have completed and it gives me a better sense of that I'm not just spinning my wheels. And after I'm done with the list, I give myself a reward. The reward may be my favorite TV show, time on the computer, or something else I like to do. Maybe it will help you to try it. Good Luck.

definite and no. i think of there is a few growing to be acceptance for men to do issues that are traditionally seen female, however the boys doing them do no longer look female. they only look redefining masculinity in a various way. on the turn area there look merely as many men quite getting into classic masculinity. For an occasion, pass returned and discover some previous 80's Wrestling (Hulk Hogan, Hacksaw Jim Dugan, and those men) and evaluate it to the stuff on television now. The stuff now is a lot greater masculine. actually, i do no longer think of it outcomes society one way or yet another. Gender roles are continuously shifting. i think of it substitute into around the turn of the century that pink substitute into seen masculine and blue a greater female colour. some centuries in the past top classification eu men could preen as much as their lady opposite numbers if not greater so, yet they have been called completely manly. The track could substitute however the dance continues to be notably lots the comparable...

Little bear I see your posting allot of questions on here today. May i just say first that's all well and good, but if your looking for answers to all of life's questions, your not going to find them here. MY honest suggestion may sound ignorant, but just try living life one day at a time. You will notice yourself change little by little, day by day. It all starts by making decisions. The great thing about life is the power of choice. You can choose to grow up quickly or you can enjoy the innocence of your youth while you can. The choice is your.
by the way that show was one of my favorite back in the day.

The only way to do it is to do it. Don't avoid it just start right in whenever you need to. Also, go somewhere where there aren't many distractions. I live in a dorm and I intentionally didn't buy cable so that I would be more likely to study and do homework... It works because I really don't have anything else to do..

Try this: Everyday, make yourself a list of what you must get done, in the order of what must be done FIRST, 2nd.....like that. First, normally, is HOMEWORK done before t.v., snacks, etc...............for most people, that makes it get done a lot faster. No 'games' until the homework is done. No friends over and you go nowhere else, until your homework is over. The longer you whine about it, the less time you will have to do the things you really LIKE to do. (And it must be well done.....no sloppy messes accepted).

Try visiting a third world country for a few weeks. Another alternative is the military. That's help you grow up real quick.

A positive attitude will do wonders for you. It take just as much time to do your homework first then play as the other way around only you can enjoy it more because you've already done what your supposed to. Just do it...now.
