In April 2007 I applied for a job in Texas and I live in Michigan. I was interviewed by human resource, manager, senior manager and a co-worker. All the phone interview went well and the senior manager asked me to come on my expense for the interview I told him thats not possible since at that time I didn't have funds. The trip would of cost me $1000 and no guarantee of a job he said there were 4 people on last stage. Then I never hear from him nor I called them because I knew there answer. Then in May I get a call from HR calling the job has changed to higher position for which i'm not qualified. I see the job opened again in August I found that from the manager when I applied him and he told me to apply on website and yes another position opened. I applied on Aug 27 on the company website and have not heard from them. I'm really interested in this job and willing now to take the chance and pay but I also feel I found so desperate.

How long did it take for them to call you back in May? Did they contact via email or by phone? Give it a couple of days- I think you should use the method that was used prior to contact you. Also, if you were planning on sending an email who would you send it to? HR? If you are planning on sending it to human resources- your email should state that you had applied for the postion back in May and was following up to ensure that everything was ok, because you noticed that the position is open again and how you are interested in that field of work and include your cover letter and resume with the email.

I agree with Brian

This is so unprofessional of this company. If they are interested in you they should send you a confirmation number for a round trip ticket and pay meals / lodging. If they are not interested they should send a courteous rejection letter.

Texas is a WAY different culture than Michigan. Are you sure you want to relocate there?

There are so many jobs out there for people who have skills and want to work. Keep your fire burning and you will succeed.

Best wishes

I think if you try to get that you could end up stranded. You
need something closer to home. The gamble looks too too
risky unless he definitiely sends you a expense paid check.
