Speak for themselves or Think for themselves?
Never met anyone that couldn't speak for themselves (over the age of 3).. but have met plenty of people who can't think for themselves due to their religions constraints. I'm assuming that's what you are referring to since this question is in R&S. Although I've also known people who can't think for themselves in general with no real religious influence. More of an inability to be independent. Seemed to have a lot to do with how they were raised (in both cases).

When people learn to stop worrying about what other people think, if you had your hopes up of it happening anytime soon, let them down slowly.

If someone else is speaking for me, it's odd that they can mimic my voice SO well. ☺

People like to be part of groups so will parrot that groups philosophy or ideals, even if they aren't quite sure what they mean or have never given serious consideration as to whether or not they actually agree...and why.

Them vs Them are them who "oppose them-selves".
Them all should learn to come out from among them.
For the Son of man has one thing for them all: death.
Search the scriptures, to see no e-life in "them";
since "as in Adam(as in "them": Gen 5) all die".
There is no them vs them at all in "us-ward"-->.
The Lord is l-o-n-gSUFFERING to us-ward,
notably so none perish instead of all perish.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
