They are Christian tracts or other literature that is handed out or left in hopes of "saving" someone.
I remember them from the 70's espcially one that had the hippies selling America out to the USSR and then being executed.
I'd read one now for old times sake but would be repulsed by the overall "hard sell", fire and brimstone....

It's usually some story about a person who makes the "wrong" choice and all these terrible things happen to them and they burn in hell forever. Typical christian scare tactics.
