I'm not so sure there's a conspiracy as such; the evidence would suggest they're working individually. Like many other people, you know who the main culprits are (I won't name names here). There also appears to be conflict between the skeptics themselves with a certain amount of 'jostling for position' going on.

I'm going to miss your account not being active; I enjoyed your informative and thoughtful answers and often referred to them whilst researching my own answers.

It's a shame that some within the Answers community appear to have stooped to new lows, I believe it detracts from the positive experience that so many people get from this forum.

I've always enjoyed this forum and use it both from work and home. The intelligent debate can be stimulating and informative but of late it appears there are some people who have adopted certain underhand tactics. I wonder if they realise that their self-serving actions are having a detrimental effect on the wider Answers community.

I do not know that it is so much a conspiracy of skeptics as it is people who receive the majority of their information from the popular media.

Unfortunately I have seen an enormous amount of misinformation in the popular media regarding the issue of Global Warming and I often see that misinformation being repeated in many of the responses in this section.

(edit) I am sorry, I see that I had misread your question. I had missed the quote about your account. I had no idea that it had been suspended, however when I clicked on your Avatar I saw that it is no longer active.

I consider your answers to be informative, well researched and to be a valuable contribution to this section.

I cannot imagine what the reasons could be for Yahoo Answers to close your account.

With respect to the skeptics it appears to me that many of the responses that fall in the skeptics category are people reacting to the misinformation in the media.

The way that I see it, most of the extreme responses on either side of this issue seem to be coming from people who use material in the popular media as their only source of information on the issue of Global Warming.

I am sad to hear that. It is obviously an erroneous statement. One of the foremost contributors, and your offense? You supported another top contributor in his case, which was then deemed in his favor. I do not know if there's any personal beliefs from the Y! AT that lead to this appalling decision. You will always remain a Top contributor here, in the eyes of me, and many others.
Cheers.

Here is a link to his appeal (I finally found it.):

Has anyone seen this? It seem there are more problems with this site?:

It's similar to Hitler's use of the Brownshirts as he rose to power. You remember what happened to them once power was in his hands...

I think it's most likely just a few people doing some tricky things over and over.
