6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Breeders have assumed that grapes were either completely self- fertilizing or were cross-pollinated by wind, so that in either case insects were considered of no value. The grape harvest will not be affected by the missing bee population.
CCD has since spread to Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. And John Chapple, one of London's biggest bee-keepers, announced that 23 of his 40 hives have been abruptly abandoned
Bees and other insects play a minor role in olive pollination; wind moves most of the pollen from tree to tree. Most olive varieties are self-fertile, but increased production often results from cross pollination. And neither will the olive harvest be affected by CCD.
This is not prophetic???

It's an interesting theory, but I don't think there's a connection.
Firstly, the events depicted at Rev. 6:6 occur DURING the 7-year period known as the Tribulation. According to Daniel 9:27, the event that triggers this 7-year period is the signing of a treaty brokered by the Antichrist, bringing peace to the Middle East. Since this hasn't happened yet, logically, the disappearance of billions of bees isn't reflective of Rev. 6:6 .
Secondly, the Bible uses oil (olive oil) as a symbol for the Holy Spirit (see Zechariah 4, for example). Vineyards, wine, and "new wine" are Biblical symbols for the Jewish people (Isaiah 5:1-10 and 24:7, for example). So what we see here is God's command to protect the 144,000 Jewish evangelists who are about to receive the Holy Spirit at Rev. 7.
EDIT: Son of Man, you are woefully misinformed. Do a web search; the asker is correct -- billions of bees all around the world have died over the past year or so.

You know, there are many references to honey in the bible. I never considered this, but if the honey bees are gone, and then the honey, then it could represent the apostacy being so widespread there is no longer any sweetness in it.
It could also be as you say, since this is a prediction of rising inflation. Could be caused by lack of pollination, and shortage of the goods.
Something to consider.
I miss the honey bees more than I thought I would. I hardly ever see one these days, and I have a small farm.

Very interesting, there have been several articles in the newspaper here (Michigan) referring to the bee issue. The state has a large agricultural community and bees are very important here. There have been large die offs and sick bees and no one knows why. I had not made this specific connection but I appreciate you posting this question. It has made me seriously think. I thought the current economy and the gas situation was on its way to causing this, but I think you are right. The bee situation may definately be a contributor.

I think the bees aren’t missing, they are dying. The Why seems to be the debate. This is certainly going to devastate many crops.
Anyway, you ask interesting questions.

No, it couldn't.
No, it isn't.
Something like "2007 years after the birth of our savior bees will start disappearing, here's why, and here's what to do about it" would be.
