As all is in unity there really is no difference, and just what is a person?
But you ask a question and a good one at that, above maybe my best answer but few will understand so I will say this; an unenlightened person doesn't know enlightenment but an enlightened person knows that ignorance when known for what it truly is, is enlightenment. ~ : )

What sort of answer are you looking for?
There are many humourous answers, and many vainly profound ones.
The true *correct* answer, as always, is difficult to pinpoint, since 'truth' as old Obi-Wan Kenobi has said, often depends on our point of view. So who are these people we are attempting to differentiate? By what measure is the 'enlightened' one enlightened; what does he know (and is his knowledge worth anything to *him*?), and similarly, by what measure is the 'unenlightened' one unenlightened (and is he better off not knowing the truth you would bring to him?)?
In the absence of such knowledge, the question could be said to be meaningless except as an exercise in humour, and perhaps philosophy, spelling, grammar, and passing the time...
Yet, for fun, I'll offer you this answer: the difference between the two is... the sum of all that is known by the enlightened one, divided by the sum of all that is knowable; the unenlightened one has no value (since he must be assumed to know utterly nothing, since we know nothing to the contrary).
Now, because the man who lives only upon the fruits of his knowledge will starve, and it is better to have an empty head, than an empty stomach...
...I'm going to get some supper.

Or - to put the sage coyote's answer a slightly different way - an enlightened person has fully realised what the unenlightened person already is.
(I have to admit that those aren't my words, they were spoken by an enlightened Tibetan monk.)

Ditto on Coyote and Jon
That the Enlightened person has awakened to the truth, that every individual is enlightened within. They are able to see it within others because they recognize it within themselves.
Thank you for a great question

One lives from Love and need not talk about it, one talks about Love yet knows not how to live it. Surrendering the past may be a key to know Love in the present.....hmmmm.....
