Partisan Politics, nothing more.

A lot of people fail to realize that Federal Prosecutors serve at the pleasure of the POTUS. He can fire some or all at will. A lot of people forget that when Clinton took Office in 1993 he fired just about all the Federal Prosecutors that were appointed by the previous Administrations. In fact a lot of the Prosecutors that Clinton appointed were kept on by the Bush Admin. He could have fired them then but didn't.

Gonzalez, like many of the Bush Cabinet have resigned simply because of the ineptness that the GOP leaders and the Bush Admin. has in dealing with Dems that are simply bent on using any issue to embarrass them. Bush still thinks he's in Texas and can "get along" with the Dems. Washington is proving to be otherwise.

I'm not a fan of Bush, he's been a disappointment to me because of his refusal to stand up for himself and trying to be "Mr. nice guy". A lot of people voted for him, myself included, thinking he was a Reagan-like Conservative Republican but ended up being a squishy "Country-Club Republican" like his father. Making all kinds of "Bi-partisan" deals with Dems and getting knifed in the back over and over.

That just happens to be one of those jobs that you can be let go from whether it's political or not. It definielty is political. Bush probably got rid of less than a number of previous presidents did including Reagan.

Much ado about nothing and the screamers know it. Wanna bet they let go of a bunch of Attorneys that are Republicans if they get a Dem. in as President. It will all be ok then, I guess.

How many did Clinton dump? 93 I think.

Everyone else has forgotten Janet Reno. Hopefully she is already dead or almost that way so I can forget her too eternally.

The AG did not fire those attorneys for failing to do their jobs. He fired them because they refused to be political operatives and do the Republican party's bidding.

They are US attorneys, not Republican attorneys.

It is also looking like he lied under oath in his testimony to Congress.
