Just wanted you guys to know that the Texas state pledge of allegiance has been recited in the state's classrooms now for four years. Unfortunately, heathens were still committing crimes and not converting to Christianity, so starting this year, the state added "under god" to the state pledge.

Please join me in Texas since all our problems are now solved. :)

You're problems may be just beginning. I doubt the law is constitutional. I do believe in God, however this does violate others rights and should be knocked down. You don't really think in the grand scheme of things adding those two words makes one iota of difference do you? How would you feel if Texas added 'under Allah" instead?

You forgot the opt out option for the unbelievers. The child has a choice now. With a parents signature.
GOD BLESS Texas

I live in Texas. Did you know at schools they are not allowed to have any kind of public display of affection? PDAs include hugging, holding hands, kissing and high fiving. No touching of any kind. They don't allow camaraderie, but they allow "under God". Does that make sense and would God want that?

God Bless.

If they think adding "Under God" to the Texas state pledge is going to decrease crime to any degree...they're all nuts.

Yup. Texas' high divorce rate will automatically plummet now.

(Texas has the highest divorce rate of any US state, even higher than California and New York)

Mkay.... I grew up in Texas. Adding two words to the state pledge is not going to solve anything.
