I am shortly moving abroad (to France) to live permanently, but I still have business interests in the UK.

If I am not resident in the UK, is it still possible for one of my creditors to sue me here?

How could the court papers be served to me if I'm no longer resident?

Of course you can be sued. They will have trouble collecting the judgement unless you have property in the UK for the court to attach.

If you come back, the judgement will still be there to allow siezure of any property you acquire in the UK in the future.
