I hate it when people cop out on these questions, but first I need to say that I wouldn't love someone who made me choose.
But if I have to choose, I hate to say it but my answer is religion. And when people ask me if I had to choose between family and love, I say family. Between wealth and love, I say wealth.
I know it sounds cold of me, but in reality I don't think that love is an exclusive thing. I don't buy into that "the one" business. I could learn to love someone else.
It's the cold, bitter truth.

I would choose religion.
Why? Because in my life I have experienced that.... people you love the most sometimes end up hurting you the most. At other times, there is absolutely no one on the planet you could turn to for help in times of desperate need. Then what do you do?
You turn to God.... and this has always help me to become a stronger person, and I have learned some valuable lessons in life.

I would choose my Love over my religion because people's beliefs about god or gods can change so easily, but no matter how hard I try I can't change the way I feel about my Love.

I would choose my love. Religion is mostly a set of symbols to me, and I can change them to suit my Love. In fact, I did to a considerable extent. I was already initiated as a witch, but when I met My Steve, and initiated him, he quickly took over because he knew more than I did. So when it came time to replace his white apprentice's cord with the traditional red elder's cord, I created a black cord for him instead to symbolize that he "outranked" me. For a Goddess worshiper to say that a man outranks a woman was quite a large change! However, I never regretted it.

I have levels concerning this concept.
My number 1 priority is the Love of God. For without him, this world would truly not or I exist. Yeah, Yeah. Don't come up with the evolution and no God nonsense. I respect your beliefs, now respect mine and others.
No. 2 is the Love of my wife and daughter.
No. 3 is my duties to my faith and work.
They are all connected.
If I am doing the duties of my faith and at work, I am actually loving my wife and daughter. I am bringing in the income and the spirit into the home. In turn this also shows my love of God. God gave us the ability to control our destinies if we stay true to the commandments.

Why should you have to choose? You just have to learn to butt out of each others religion, keep your own religion for yourself, and you can have your love.

Love, because it seems to be its own religion
i mean look at it, society....our goal in life is typically what?: going out, finding a guy/girl to date, marry, and have kids with.
Since history pretty much records, humans have fought valiantly for love.....empires fallen, and people dying for it.
It is all that you'll ever need.....religion is important, love is even more
