Thank you for your service to our country.
There will always be whiners and complainers and random idiots.
Just try to remember all the many people who support you, believe in you, and are very thankful for your courage and patriotism.

90% of the people I run into that actually do bad mouth the military are the exact same type of people that used to rebel in high school.
I guess now that they are grown up they need something new to b i tch about so they can continue to be "mommy's little special person."
The other 10% are either highly misinformed, have some type of wierd infierority complex, or are suffering from some type of psychosis more than likely.
Based on that I wouldnt read too much into what they say.
Questioning the government I can totally understand. I am actually thankful that we as Americans do question our government. But the military has nothing to do with government desicions aside from providing advice.

Most of the fools that have opinions like that have mingled with a bad apple or two who were in the military. Those bad apples DO NOT represent the majority of our men and women in uniform.
The people who say things like that are showing you, without shame, that they know nothing of the military. They are showing you, without shame, that they are not worth talking to; that a rock would have better things to say.
Just ignore them and surround yourself with positive people. If the negative ones invade the positve group, then overwhelm them and push them out.
Thank you and your husband for serving! God bless.

We live in a world full of ignorant people. Maybe speak up next time and say something positive about the military and then end the conversation- maybe it will give the other person food for thought.

It's unfair to engage in a war of wits with an unarmed opponent.
Many who bad mouth the military have never served and have fallen for the left wing liberal agenda that blossomed in the 60's and again in the Clinton administration.
Just keep reminding yourself that if it were not for brave and dedicated personnel such as your family, they would not have the freedom to say whatthey are saying.
Just look them in the eye ans say "You are welcome" and walk away with your head held high and your dignity intact.
P.S. Thank you and yours for your service to our country
God Bless

I agree with you. If they're determined to slam the soldiers who often don't have many (or any) better options than going into the military, I usually don't attempt to communicate for very long. The military-industrial complex, on the other hand...don't get me started. We need to find U.S. corporations, workers and soldiers something better and more productive to do than make weapons and kill people.

Try to give them a smile and say:
If people like you have your way then the Government will reinstate the draft and then you will be obligated to serve in military to protect and serve our nation.
or
If people like you have your way then you will be living under foreign occupation because your lack of support for the Men and Women in uniform.

Most of the people bad mouthing the military have never been in it and have no idea of what they are talking about.
Ignore the fools if you can and use tact when you cannot.

Who the hell is badmouthing? Shame on them. Like I have said in previous posts - I support our troops 100%. I do not support the choice to go to Iraq, but our troops are doing their job, and a great one at that.
