Granny Smiths or Golden Delicious right off the tree! Macintosh are OK but not as good as the green or golden varieties. Gotta be in the mood for caramel apples, and when the leaves change colors I usually get in the mood...

A fresh apple is delicious. Also in pies and my favorite tarts. I just took two out of the oven. You bring the ice cream and we can have dessert.

Yes, but they aren't close to being my favorite fruit. I prefer them in the fall and like them cooked with some brown sugar and cinnamon. It is good plain, topped with a little whipped cream or spooned over ice cream.

i love apples dipped in chocolate or in a warm pie. baked apples with cinnamon tastes good on top of pancakes.

cored sitting in a little water with cinnamon and butter and brown sugar in the hole where the core was.. bake at 350 for 20 minutes...

Like em non-mushy and crisp and kind of tart, but not quite Granny Smith tart.
