Of COURSE it's bad. It's illegal. In Mexico, illegal immigration is a felony so apparently, it's only "bad" for us enforce our borders but not for them. What's the word for that? Ahhhh --- hypocrisy.

Bad.
Illegal immigrants have broken the law once; how many of them will break the law again?

If the President grants amnesty to illegals then certainly people applying for visa and petitions legally should be granted wishes to remain in the U.S. Where does that leave us standing?

I have a strong opinion on this topic because I am a U.S. citizen who married someone on a J1 visa that entered legally. Because he had a 2 year home rule restriction we were not allowed to remain together in the U.S. even after appealing our case for two years. Although the government acknowledged that we were legally married they still denied us. I had to choose between my family, career, and home or my husband. I chose to be with him and left everything behind.
If I must leave the U.S to be with my husband then it seems only right that illegal immigrants should not be allowed to stay.

It is a legal and illegal issue!

Lets answer the question this way... word substitution, Instead of saying Illegal immagration good or bad, lets try, Purse Snatching... good or bad? Does it matter WHAT the illegal activity is? No... Illegal is just that Illegal. Therefore, against the law... therefore BAD. As to your remarks about who came from where, prior to the peoples moving into that area from the north, there were no "people" there. Hispanics derive their name from Hispanola... a spanish colony started in 1492 by Christopher Columbus. The True ancestors of who we call mexicans, were the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayans. "Indian" tribes. Just like the Hopi, Utes, Cheyennes, Eskimoes. "Indians" who migrated here from Asia.
As for no indigenous peoples... Id have to dissagree. History of the human race, for as far back as it goes, has had Africa Populated.

Illegal immigration is a terrible thing. It has absolutely nothing to do with the color of anyones skin or where they come from, it has to do with the american economy, overpopulation, and crime. As the world gets smaller and smaller, and more and more jobs are outsourced to third world nations where large corporations can benefit from child labor and pseudo-slavery to make a maximum profit, we have an influx of illegal immigrants coming in from these countries to take jobs within the nation as well. The American worker loses twice. Secondly, the reason that America limits immigration is because of overpopulation. This country can only support a certain number of people per year. With an illegal immigrants coming in to the country, there is less food and supplies for the citizens of America who are not well off. Finally, crime is a large factor. Not only is it illegal for these immigrants to come here, they are impossible to monitor while they are here because there is no record of their being here. An illegal immigrant could walk into this country and murder a citizen, rob them, and go back across the border without anyone knowing who he was or where he came from. Illegal immigration has this name for a reason, and i think its time this country buckled down and handled this issue as seriously as it takes some others.

I believe in capitalism. I believe that if no one wants to flip burgers, the burger flippers should be the one's who are being paid the most. Or the burger joint should go out of business. A continuation of the importation of cheap labor is nothing, but an insult to the principles of capitalism itself and a continuation of slavery.

As a compassionate person, I understand that there is tremendous poverty in Mexico. But Mexico is not a poor country. Mexico has the 11th largest economy in the world. The poverty is caused by greed and politics. And to continue to take the pressure off of the Mexican government, by taking in the Mexican impoverished, is only going to insure that nothing ever changes in Mexico. And worse, because the end result could be that the US wind up just like Mexico.

First - there is no such thing as illegal immigration because immigration is a legal process. It is a contradiction in terms.
Second - Many white Americans' ancestors were colonists instead of immigrants. Mine were.
Third - The lineage of many modern Hispanics is the result of Spaniards intermarrying and procreating with Native Indians, who themselves were descendants of other races from other lands.
Last - it is not immigration that has every1s' panties in a wad. It is the criminal invasion of a sovereign country whose government has refused to secure the borders and continually refuses to enforce the laws regarding immigration.

There is no way in the world that anyone in their right mind could make the statement that illegal immigration was a good thing for this country.

Done the legal and proper way, legal immigration is wonderful for this country.

you are correct that long ago people migrated to other places when resources were depleted, they just moved on. man has evolved and when it was discovered that they could produce crops to sustain themselves, they established permanent residences and had a vested interest in their land and homes. this allowed them to build bigger and better. it is called progress.

so after hard work and building assets, there are those who would steal them and try to claim their assets as there own and would enslave the people to work for them while keeping the wealth for themselves. of course, people did and still do resist this. that is why boundaries were established help prevent those conflicts and that is why people take exception when they are not respected.

Immigration is necessary but must be controlled. Employers who exploit undocumented immigrants are almost as bad as the coyotes who smuggle them in.
Illegal immigration is a crime. How can a criminal act ever be considered good?

it's good.

And no one ever said "White Americans parents were immigrants." and it's not right to assume and it's pretty ignorant to assume that this comment or others like it come from only Hispanics.
