that the serpant was indeed satan?

if this is so, how can u justify that god punished serpants for satans doing? (genesis 3:14)

seems kind of unfair that an animal be punished when it wasnt an animal who committed the "crime"...

Following your rationale, one can state that it wasn't fair to punish God's own son for the sins of men either.

God chose to punish ALL serpents, ALL women, and ALL men for the sins of one one serpent, one man, and one woman.

I don't think that the serpent WAS satan, but that it was indwelled by satan.

I have long given up trying to second guess God and His plan for our salvation. His actions cannot always be explained in terms human minds can understand. So, though I cannot explain the 'why' every time, I do know personally the charater and the nature of God. I know He is fair and just. That may not always work out according to what we as humans have been exposed to in our limited frame of reference.

Good question Chippy.

I have asked God in prayer about this. What I believe is that the lizard has a spiritual dragon. The spiritual dragon is satan. It is written that things were invisible before visible. So that would indicate that there is also an invisible dog, cat, elephant, etc. The lizard has an invisible dragon.

See, the big red spirit dragon is jealous of humans authority. That is why he tempted Eve. And that is why he temted 1/3 of the angels to rebel against God. That is why he tempted them to screw up creation so the 'Only begotten Son of God' couldn't come. See, the Savior promised to overcome the serpent deception & the death churse was prophesied of in Genesis3:15 right after the fall. This is Gods backup plan. The dragon knew that. He just doesn't want man to be in authority again. And death & satan ruled since the fall of man.

In Revelation it refers to the big red dragon (the serpent from the beginning) whose tale swiped 1/3 of the angels down with him. The angels, one is Lucifer, are winged Cheribims who rebelled against God. So these fallen angels are also satan. But the head satan is the big red spirit dragon. It is believed by some (theory) that when the angels rebelled in Genesis6 and when they had offspring with human women, that these supermen died in the flood also. And that is where demons come from. The demons aren't the fallen angels or satan. They are disobedient to God spirits, but they are an accident that happened when their daddies (fallen angels) rebelled against God. Who knows about the myths of half human & half animals, if the earth actually got this bad because of the angels rebellion. But this is possible where beastiality roots.

The big red spirit dragon possessed the lizard or dragon in the tree. So, the lizard made the choice to deceive Eve. So? The LORD judged the dragon & he lost his legs. This one is also venomous. So? Not all snakes are venomous.

In the garden, animals could talk & were smarter. The lizard chose to do this. God is always a righteous judge.

Also, if you feel sorry for the snakes, then also understand this. The snakes are around during Christ Millinnium Reign. But we are all friends with them too. And the big red dragon & the fallen angels & demons are thrown into the abyss for the millinnium.

Well, actually, it fits the bill for the whole Fall. Because of the Serpent's deception, and Adam and Eve's choice, all of creation was cursed. Plants grew thorns, the ground became hard to till (and actually required tilling), animals no longer lived together in harmony, and childbirth became painful. So a snake losing its legs for the actions of one posing as its kind is not unprecedented.

Justification, however is a different matter. First it requires me to have the same mind as God. When I become omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and infinite, I'll let you know what that is.

Second, it requires that God be accountable to you. Sorry to point this out, but God is called a King for a reason. While He can chose to justify Himself to His people, if He wants to (and often did/does), He is by no means required to.

As far as comments like "snakes don't eat dust therefore the Bible lies" are concerned, learn how to read a metaphor. It is in reference to being required to crawl on their bellies in the dirt, not a comment on their actual eating habits.

God did not punish the serpant. The animal had no control over what its body was being used for. When the bible speaks of the serpant being condemed to the ground that was in reference to the serpant bruising the man in the heal and the man crushing the serpants head.

OH! i just read another answer of yours and you think that the serpant had legs and that God took them away in the garden. Your wrong and only speculating. the bible never says that the snake used to have legs and they were taken away. I guess you must be thinking of the argument that snakes bone structure is that of birds any might have had wings at one point as well ( hence the myth of the dragon) sounds very plausible but has no evidence....sorry to burst your bubble. not only that i dont think this is a question that you came up with but took from a publication.... i think this cuase i just read it a couple of months ago.

There is not enough facts related as to what went on, the main point is the choice of mankind to disobey God and strike out on their own and set up their own lifestyle outside the laws of life that God had provided for the total well being of their existence. details are unknown and personally I do not believe God has ever been unfair. His sense of justice has to be perfect or he would not be God.

Im assuming that you feel the same way about the animal sacrifices also? There has to be shedding of blood to cover sin. This is why God used the animal skins to replace the fig leaves. It isnt Gods fault, its ours.We are the ones who disobeyed from the beginning.

Geez, Chippy, you do not understand figures of speech or idioms in Scripture.
I thought i heard it all today, but now you are actually going to fight for the rights of
wiggly snakes everywhere? C'mon, dude.

No snakes were injured during the event of the Garden, I promise you.
And yes, the serpent was used as the speaking words of Satan, who was actually the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Why are you even bothering? You know damn well that you do not believe anything that is written in Scripture, so why not just laugh at it like you normally do, and move on? Go save the seals or something -
they are in much more danger than any snakes are.
Geez this forum is getting lame.

OR their parents starts off you at an surprisingly early age to flow to "their" determination of church homes. maximum church homes needs them to do this however, for the money. There could be a regulation, while a new child turns of age, what ever that states age could be, then and in basic terms then could they make their own determination.

God does things to let us understand the message. The serpent spoke. So God spoke back to the serpent. God is able to speak to creatures. Satan used the serpent and the serpent allowed it. Apparently it knew better. Yet he had a choice he choose to allow satan to use him.
