I am sticking with my preseason pick of Denny Hamlin. This kid is an awesome racecar driver. He sets in the second spot in points. He has had some bad luck earlier in the season, on pit row, that cost him at least three wins. His luck is beginning to change. Jeff will slow in his momentum, some what, and Denny Hamlin will drive his way to the Nextel Cup Champion.

I'll rank the favorites to win the title
1. Tony Stewart
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Jimmie Johnson
4. Denny Hamlin
5. Matt Kenseth

If one of these five drivers does not win the title I will be very surprised. As for a dark horse who may be a factor in deciding who wins is Kurt Busch.

Most likely Hendrick Motorsports.. Between the 3, they have a serious shot. It would be a shame of Gordon didn't win it though. He's had such a damn good year.

2nd favorite would have to be Joe Gibbs Racing... Stewart has a great shot, and if Hamlin can stop fumbling like the Redskins then maybe he can make a decent run @ it too.

The problem is, if nascar hadn't screwed with the points system, Jeff would be winning his 6th or 7th champ. As it is now, it's anyones guess and there will be 95 % luck involved. The good old days went by, just as the old France family did.

I'm gonna go with Tony Stewart. He's hitting a good stride later in the season and that momentum will probably carry on through the Chase.

Tony Stewart. Jimmie Johnson is actually my favorite, but Tony's really deserving of it this year and I'd like to see him win it. I would like to think that I am a real NASCAR fan because I don't hate on other teams; I try not to anyway. Sometimes it gets hard.
