My family has just bought a little puppy. He was born on 6/9/07. I need to know when to feed him, how to care for him, etc. Can someone recommend an online guide? By the way, he's a Morkie ( Maltese/Yorkie)

First of all. He isn't here yet. He has a cold and there retaining him until he gets better. I have had about 4 dogs before and I know how to care for them. I just want to see if I can get any better at it. By the way. He isn't a mutt. Keep your opinions to your self.

A mutt for you people unstanding is different from mine. So if you think he is a mutt so be it. Who cares. A dog is a dog. I think there shouldn't even be the word PureBred. or mutt. Because people with a low IQ think to much of there dogs. They aren't any better then a mixed dog.

1. Get good puppy food
2. Make sure bowl is full morning and night. Puppies like to eat. Read instructions on food package.
3. Make sure plenty of water is down day and night.
Fresh water each day.
4. Let puppy sleep in a dog cage at night. Get up once during the night and take him out. Every morning take him out. Put puppy back in cage at night so he'll know he sleeps there and that is not where he poops. Let him out until 2 hrs. pass then put him outside for the restroom again. Puppies have small bladders. Every 2 hours let him go outside. As he gets older this will not be necessary.

My dad has raised and bred puppies since i was born. I remember when our dog would have puppies and she had so many that she didnt produce enough milk so i'd be there feeding them with a little bottle to make sure they survived. I even have pictures... but to answer your question i think a 2 month old puppy should probably be fed at least 3-4 times a day. I think my dad might feed a 2 month old puppy about 2 or 3 times. I think just call a local vet and i'm sure they'd be able to help you out. Also, go to your local book store trust me the abundance of books is unbelievable. So i'm sure there will be help there, if not call your local animal shelter or pound. I'm sure people out there are willing to give out info to help someone out. Good Luck!

Maybe you should find a vet. They are a wealth of informed information and have the best interests of your pet in mind. Otherwise if you got the puppy from a reputable breeder they are always anxious to help. Try finding other owners of the breed and talk to them. There should also be a variety of info on the internet. Try a search...

whatever food you decide to feed him will have a guide on the package determining how much you should feed according to thier weight. but my puppies are very active and play with each other all day, so i leave food out and feed them whenever they want. i'm not sure about that breed or really small dogs, but i researched hollistic (all natural dog food online) which just helped me learn alot about dog foods in general

Since these are also small dogs I suggest reading this. Puppies should be fed 3-4 times a day and always a quality dog food like Eukanuba or Pro Plan.

You can also type into a search engine caring for your puppy.

I love little mutts. WHen you go to the vet and set up a plan your vet will help you. Shot schedule spay schedule Heartworm schedule. all that stuff.
I doubt the puppymiller he came from thought about the vetting needed. Hope you didn't pay for the mutt
