No, no more than all atheists are hateful people. In R&S there are fundamentalists on all sides that pose a problem.
Many of my friends are christian and they accept that I'm not.
I think weak people find it easier to throw around insults on the net instead of engaging in any meaningful debate.

NO ! Christians are however human . they still make mistakes . you grow in Christianity so you should be ever growing and hopefully getting better as a person. i have seen with each generation more tolerance i hope this trend continues. yes we do see all the bad on the news but the news hides the light of all the good that is done more than the bad each day. it is a shame the news panders to the awful things in life and not the good all around them each moment.

To generalize is to show ignorance. And to not see where Christians are continually goaded by non-believers on this forum, is also ignorance.
Do you really think a Christian should smile and say "thank you" for all the name-calling, back stabbing, taking the Lord's name in vain that's going on here?
While God's Word says we should turn the other cheek, that is in a completely different context. God's Word says that we should also "wield the sword of the spirit" when appropriate. (Of course, then we're blamed for shoving our religion in people's faces).
There is absolutely no way to win against an entire group of people who have a mindset against Truth.

Christians aren't hateful people(well most) If you are seeing bad things in Christians,it's probably because they have become slack in their attitude towards their christian appearance. When we are Christians we are to set a example for other people etc.....been helpful, not using the type of words that are common today (swearing), styles, going to church, no gambling, smoking, drinking, these things will go against a christian if a non-christian is looking on. So as Christians we must be ever mindful in our actions as we are made in the image of God, but are striving to be Godly in the likeness of Christ.

Not at all.
I do think, though, that the selectively-observant pseudo-Jews with Paulist idolatry thrown in who call themselves Christians tend to be pretty hateful.
In my experience, followers of Jesus are loving, kind, generous, and non-judgmental. A few examples right here on R&S:
EyeLovesJesus
Uncle Wayne
Rachel
Praise Singer
Ramjet
Don H

I don't think hatred but I know Christians get hurt because people talk bad about Jesus. Hate no but hurt yes
Jesus sacreficed so much for us and when people deny him and don't believe in him is very disturbing with God but then again it's not anyones problem but the person who doesn't believe and the Lords. The ones don't believe will have to answer with God and pay the consequences not I. I know I am going to heaven do you? If you don't then take in our Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you will be in the book of life which means Heaven. That's the choice you have to make and no one elses.

Please don't lump all Christians in together. The same goes for all the beliefs. Some of what you read here is so way off base on all sides that it is hysterical. There are too many trolls here that love to stir-the-pot just to get a rise out of others. It's sometimes impossible to get a decent answer because of the arrogant and just plain nasty remarks that you will receive. just try to ignore the trouble makers.

We all hate. Christians and non-Christians alike.
But just like if I am truly following my spiritual path of "Harming none", it would mean I do not foster hatred or carry hate around in me all the time, I imagine that if a Christian is truly a follower of Jesus' teachings about love and compassion and treating others as you would treat yourself, I cannot see how they can be generally hateful all of the time either.

I do not think that most Atheists think that Christians are hateful. I think that some of them have encountered some extremely judgmental ones who have tried to force them into believing something that they do not. I believe in God and in most of the Christian beliefs, but know better than to judge a person based soley on thier beliefs, or lack there of. I have met horriblibly judgemental people on both sides of the fence.

The Christian god hates people who worship other gods and who are non-believers. He condemns not only you, but also your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to eternal inferno. If this not hate, what do you call it?
But I must admit most Christians I met are very decent people.
