I don't think the sexual desire toward the same sex is a choice necessarily. What you do about it is choice.
IT can happen for a number of reasons and one can be a spiritual "curse" of sorts, attacks from the enemy, all kinds of things. If you believe the bible you know that "the whole world" "lies under the sway of the wicked one". People can have overwhelming desires to do a lot of things that are not right but that doesn't mean they get to justify their behavior. Except in this case the world seems to be "making an exception". Everyone freaks out when I say this but truly there are people who are only "turned on" sexually by children. Before you get offended at my saying that ask yourself, what are those people supposed to do? say they were born that way and then what?
Why is being Gay so different than every other deviancy ? I try and try to understand the Gay point of view but I cannot.

I don't know about all the god bible babble, but i think that some people who were sexually abused at a young age were corrupted emotionally. And if they hadn't been could've had a different sexual preference as they started going through adolesence. I think people can scar others to the point where they changed the course of other peoples lives. Maybe some are just born with it too hard telling. Either way it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Asking the question "Do you think being gay is a choice? " has always felt like asking "did you choose to be black, white, tan...etc" superfluous and dumb. Why would someone choose to be hated by society, hell by ones own family? I think every one is different for a reason;different colors, different personality's, and/or different sexualities. Just because something is right for me does not mean it is right for you. We are all on different path's, it doesn't make it a wrong path, it just makes it different and specially conformed to fit. So many just don't understand that.
ALSO I think god would just be happy that there is love in the world, and we all try to be the best people we can be, by not harming others and trying to help them.

Being "gay" is not a choice. However, acting upon is.
If you wish to embrace the religion of the ancient Greeks and Romans, where gay sex, or for that matter any kind of sex is acceptable then do so.
But do not say you embrace the religion of the Torah or of Jesus and then turn around and try to claim homosexual acts are not a sin. It is hypocritical.
The whole idea is that man is above the animals and that man can overcome his baser instincts. If priests and nuns, for the most part, can give up sex, why can't gay men?

I think for some people it is a choice and for others it is not.
I have met people who are truly gay no doubt about it, that is just the way it is.
But I also know people who do it for attention. They want it to be noticed. I don't think they are gay I think they just want someone to look at them.

God doesn't make people homosexual.
If anything, the corruption that came upon the whole world due to sin, is the cause.
And everyone still gets to make a choice ... follow the desires of the flesh, and do what you like ... or cooperate with God's grace, and do his will.
It's not easy, but that's just the way it is.
Better get your head on straight, before it's too late.

We can leave god out of this whole equation you realize. So it reads like this:
Because it is predetermined by their body to be gay and since not a single person gets hurt by them being gay, let's just leave them alone and let them enjoy themselves.

Their conscience has been seared at a very early age and they have given in to unnatural, unhealthy actions.
Since there are FORMER homosexuals who atest that it IS possible to change, there is proof that people aren't born that way. (See the Steven Bennett website and the NEWLY former homosexual Michael Glatze's story - he was one of the major editors for a homosexual magazine)
Sin is ALWAYS a choice.

Being gay is not a choice. I can't decide out of nowhere that I like other men all of a sudden.
The "choice" they refer to is the tendency to ACT on your predisposition to being gay or not.
