I've been dating this person for a month. and i recently checked his text messeges without his permission. i found out that his ex kept on sending nastie sexual comments. i was so hurt. (i know i shouldn't check his phone without his permission)
He caught me doing so. What should i do? i know he's upset!he hasn't called me as of yet! =( And i feel so bad. what should i do??

I wonder if he explained why his ex was leaving those tasteless comments on his phone? That is the question, and him making you feel guilty doesn't have him own up to his dishonesty as well. With only one month of dating you don't have a lot of emotional investment. If you already feel like the rebound get out!

Nothing. Dont feel bad about checking his phone. He probably would have done the same to you. Let him call you. He is the guilty one. Not you. We all get curious sometimes and its nothing wrong with that. Just see his next move. Good luck!

Try to talk to him and explain that you are really sorry ask him to forgive you. Tell himthat you were too curious and he should not judge you from a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes... Good luck !

trust him to begin with because otherwise there's no point. i assume you've apologised for invading his privacy, if not you should sincerely and then give him some space
