if you are a christian you might say only dahmer will go to heaven , however i am an atheist, ideally if there were a heaven, i would hope that leading a good life would be more of a reason to get eternal salvation

Jesus said he is the Way the Truth and the Life nobody gets to the Father accept through Him. So if Dahmer accepted Christ then he would go to Heaven. As for the Buddhist if they don't believe in Christ, sorry he won't go to Heaven.

In some of the budhaist sutras; Jesus is also a budi. All the budi are the mission of turn the world life style happier. The different level of creatures called god which we are not understand and label it mystery.
If one who is a murderer and called budhaist, I can say he is an anti-budhaist.
If magic power called god, there were so many god in the world but I still not confess it is god. As he also have mistake. If this god cannot look into his mistake, he will no longer god any more.

The version of the Buddhist hell realms and the monotheistic concept thereof differ VASTLY. You can't compare the two in such a manner as you're trying to, by determining who would go "there".

actually, according to the bible both will go. We are all sinners and without the acknowledgement of Jesus as our Lord, we are to spend an eternity in hell. There is no sin greater than another, so whether you lie or murder, the punishment is the same.
