okay to jhus get a brief of what happend today. i was jhus driving through a neighborhood and saw like 4 cop cars and i thought they were investigating a house or something but i did do everything correctly. But they still pulled me over and said asked fer my liscense & such and i guess there was something wrong with my liscense (suspended and such) so he told me to park the car and not to drive anywhere & have someone pick it .

the problem is.. im gonna go witha friend to pick it up.. but i think imma drive it home khuz whose gonna drive the other car so i jhus wanted to knoe.. how long would they stay there..

a guessed amt?

wait a min....you were driving on a suspended license and all they did was make you park your car?..you got lucky you should count your blessings that your butt isnt in jail and get a friend to go get your car for you. i hope that the checkpoint is gone when you go back...and then just as your about to turn onto your street one of the cops from the checkpoint sees you and stops you again.......then you are a repeat offender and will probably never see a license or your car again wont that be fun? grow up

Checkpoints are usually set up over holiday weekends when more people are expected to be driving. The objective is to deter drunk driving. Checkpoints normally last one night, unless there is some other reason for them such as searching for certain people.

Depends on the amount of time the police want to spend in a certain area. They are usually set up in areas known to have many DUI problems. I have seen them here in Arkansas for 6 hours. You have been lucky once (by not getting a ticket), don't push your luck.
