Start with a ripe avocado and cut it lengthwise around the seed. (NOTE: Thoroughly wash the fruit before you peel it.)
Rotate the halves to separate.
Remove the seed by sliding the tip of a spoon gently underneath it and lifting it out. The other common seed-extraction method -- striking the seed with a knife -- is dangerous and not recommended.
Peel the fruit by placing the cut side down and removing the skin with a knife or your fingers, starting at the small end. Or simply scoop out the avocado meat with a spoon. Be sure to sprinkle all cut surfaces with lemon or lime juice or white vinegar to prevent discoloration.

Its easy to peel an avocado.. here's how i do it...
To pit an avocado, cut it in half lengthwise until you reach the pit and gently twist the two halves apart to separate them.
The safest way to remove the pit is with a spoon.
To peel avocados put the halves, face down, and peel off the skin. If the flesh is very soft, scoop it out with a spoon.
. If the skin is too tough to peel, use a paring knife. Slice as desired.
It is better that you add cubed or sliced avocado to a dish at the last moment to keep any discoloration to a minimum.

The easiest way is not to peel it.
Take your knife and try to cut it in half. When you hit the pit twirl your knife around the pit and pull the two halves apart.
Take a dish towel and the side with the pit hold in your hand.
Take the blade side of the knife and hit the seed with it. Twist and you have the seed removed.
Take a small knife and score the avocado with it making a checker board patter and use a spoon to take the meat out. It is a lot easier.
Enjoy your day.

Normally avocados aren't peeled. You split them and scoop the fruit out with a spoon.
Run your knife all the way around the avocado lengthwise and twist the halves slightly to separate them.
Holding the avocado firmly, bring the edge (not the point) of your knife with moderate force into the pit and twist it to remove it.
With a tablespoon (soup spoon), gently run the spoon between the fruit and the skin and with a little practice, you'll be able to get il all out in one piece.

Using a large knife, cut into the avocado until you hit the pit, then turn the avocado around so you cut all the way around it. Twist the avocado so it splits in half. Take the knife and whack it (carefully!) into the pit, give it a slight twist and the pit will come out. Use a tablespoon to pull the flesh away from the skin, it should come out in one piece.

I just cut into it lengthwise and run the knife through the bottom and back up to the top. Twist to separate, whack the pit with the knife and remove (you can plant them then!). Then I cut each half in half lengthwise, and you can just peel the peel right off each quarter. Then do with it what you want!

take a good, sharp knife and cut the avocado in half lengthwise...then you can either slice it while its still in the peel, or unpeel it as-is if it has a good thick skin. you could also use a spoon or butter knife to detach the avocado from its peel.

Cut it in half and remove the pit. Go around the outer edges with a knife then use a spoon to lift it out of the remaining skin.
They also make a special tool for it.
