Woman's right to choose.
Yes, some women have a hard time dealing with abortion, but I know too many who are thankful it was an option. My mother is one of them, my sister another. They made their decisions and it ended up being the best thing for them.
Besides, what "right to life"? No species on the planet has a "right" to live! Ask the Dinosaurs....I am sure they would have a lot to say about "rights" to life. Beyond that, women miscarry every day. Those babies did not have a right to life.
Humans are biologically programmed to want sex. You can't take a 2000 year old religion and interrupt millenia of biology for an entire species! We have a very real personal responsibility to prevent unwanted pregnancies and births. If birth control fails, abortion needs to be a viable legal option.
For me, I have never had an abortion and have given birth to three wonderful children. I had my tubes tied 6 years ago to prevent any other pregnancies because I know I could never financially or emotionally afford another child. My husband agrees and also does not want any more kids. I feel that I would likely have an abortion if I became accidentally pregnant.

WHAT is "abortation"????? What are you talking about? Are you trying to say "abortion"? The other answerers are assuming this, so I will, too.
Do you honestly think you can have a credible dialog about a subject when you know so little that you don't even know what it's called????
I have never heard of anyone advocating "murder," or "killing babies" as some people say, or favoring a woman's rights over an "unborn child." This language is meant to be inflammatory, but comes across as sounding extremely uneducated.
Abortion is the termination of pregnancy in the fetal stages, in almost all cases pre-viable fetuses.
I consider it to be a tragedy when a woman finds herself in such a position. The outcome will always have an element of tragedy when there is an unwanted pregnancy. Lives will be altered, without exception.
It is the woman's right to decide how she wants to handle it. If she chooses to terminate, that is her right.

A womans right to choose, without a doubt. The key here is that you say "unborn" baby. The baby hasn't been born yet. Plus when most women get abortions, within the first 3 months, its not a baby, its an embryo. For me, life begins at birth, not at conception. Before this pregnancy, I miscarried because there was a chromosomal problem. Which means that at conception, it lacked all the tools necessary to become a human. So therefore, it would have never grown into baby. If I'd have known that, I would have chosen an abortion, instead of letting an empty sac stay inside my body, tricking me into thinking I was really pregnant, for 15 weeks.

I believe it is more important that a woman have the right to choose. Nobody should have control of a person's body other than the person it belongs to, meaning the government or pro-lifers. Abortion will continue whether it is illegal or legal, but many woman will be safer if it continues to be legal.

Everyone talks about the "woman's right", what about the babies right to live? If you don't want the baby give it up for adoption.
When a woman chooses abortion she doesn't realize she is also choosing a LIFETIME of grief, regret, depression, and forever thinking "what if....".
I chose LIFE for both the mother and the baby, because the depression that some women feel after having an abortion causes more attempted and successful suicides than Planned Parenthood will ever admit to.
Abortion is selfish and no matter what the doctors tell you and the media wants you to think, it IS extremely painful for the unborn baby. Why is it that you can go to jail for doing this to your DOG but not for doing it to yourself?

the choice we all as women have is simple. do you choose to have sex (protected or unprotected) then you choose to accept whatever the consequences might be. if you have sex with someone and get aids can you give that back??? i do there think that there are some circumstances that are beyond a womans control like rape or health of mother or child, but to simply have an abortion because it was an "accident" is wrong.

I couldn't imagine abortion being illegal. Think of all the babies that would be born with problems because the mother was forced to carry a child for nine months that she didn't want. We have too many unwanted children without homes now why would you want there to be more?

I believe a woman's body is her own and what she does with it is her business, but with that responsibility comes good decision making and consideration. Only one method of birth control is absolutely safe against pregnancy. Why penalize an embryo/fetus I believe was created by God, for something they have no control over. It seems a cruel twist of fate to create life and than to deny it the chance to see life. If it's too great a risk, don't have sex.

Life of an unborn baby hands down. You choose to have sex, you choose to accept the consequences of those actions. If woman doesn't want a baby, she should CHOOSE to keep her legs closed.
I saw my baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks gestation...how can you say that's not a baby!?
