And I mean really over, not just when you started dating again, because that doesn't mean you're over it.Just when you got over the person who you've had the most meaningful relationship with to the point where it didn't affect you and you really thought to yourself 'Wow, it is better now."

Its been almost a year and although I am feeling better I am not over him and I don't know that I ever will be... He was the one person I can say that I truely love with my whole heart and soul... But I was also emotionally and verbally abused by him to the point I almost lost my life over him... That may be why I will never forget him... I want satisfaction that he will never hurt another woman, and I will probably never get that...

If it's the kind of "heart-break" that I know, it always hangs with you... a constant memory you wish you never had... it took me over 5 yrs. to be able to even begin to think about another in my life...but, it's something that happened, i can't deny that, and there is nothing to make it "go away" no soap, no $, nothing....but it has inspired many songs, and poems, and things of that nature...and i have gotten better....i'm OK..sometimes i think i would have been better if it hadn't happened, but then again, ....maybe not......and i love my life now "just the way it is" and i have a "past" that has inspired me to continue on...to do better....to let the bitterness go and begin all over "once again"......lol.....lol........(9 yrs.,we were together 9 years.....lol...)

When my husband and I divorced after 8 years, he was still the love of my life.; I didn't want the divorce, he did and remarried 1 month to the day that our divorce was final. I was not heartbroken, my heart was shattered that was in 2004, I would say about two years. I have had other relationships, all bad, I still sometimes wonder where we would be now if we hadn't divorced.
