Well, I don't think so. I have used them for a few years, to aid in premature aging, but haven't always been diligent in my routine, and never noticed any "drastic difference" from not using them. I do think it's in our best intrest to always use them if we want our skin to maintain it's younger more defined appearance. Also, if you are worried, the most important cream to ALWAYS use is a good daily moisturizer containing at least SPF 15, to protect your delicate skin from harsh daily exposure to the elements.

Once you start using a product, no one says you must continue indefinitely. But, once your body becomes used to not having to produce its own natural oils, (because you are applying it externally), it may take some time for your skin to recover. Haven't you ever notice the people with the driest hands and skin are the ones who are always applying lotion?
