Constipation occurs when bowel movements become difficult or less frequent. You are considered constipated if you have two or more of the following for at least 3 months:
Straining during a bowel movement more than 25% of the time.
Hard stools more than 25% of the time.
Incomplete evacuation more than 25% of the time.
Two or fewer bowel movements in a week.
What Causes Constipation?
Constipation is usually caused by a disorder of bowel function rather than a structural problem. Common causes of constipation include:
1. Inadequate water intake.
2. Inadequate fiber in the diet.
3. A disruption of regular diet or routine; traveling.
4. Inadequate activity or exercise or immobility.
Eating large amounts of dairy products.
5. Stress.
6. Resisting the urge to have a bowel movement, which is sometimes the result of pain from hemorrhoids.
7. Overuse of laxatives (stool softeners) which, over time, weaken the bowel muscles.
8. Hypothyroidism.
9. Neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease or multiple sclerosis.
10. Antacid medicines containing calcium or aluminum.
11. Medicines (especially strong pain medicines example Tylenol-3, such as narcotics, antidepressants or iron pills).
12. Depression.
13. Eating disorders.
14.Irritable bowel syndrome.
15. Pregnancy.
16. Colon cancer.

If it is constipation, it is because of your food and lack of exercise.
You have to eat more vegetables and leaves, particularly fiber rich food. Drink more water, not just after food, after half an hour. And daily walking for30- 45 minutes will help you a lot, better morning in empty stomach.

many. Medications cause it, anethesia, poor diet, other disease, or simply lack of water or fiber in the diet. Immobility also can cause constipation. Anyone who has not moved their bowels in 72 hours should seek medical attention.
It is also a risk factor for colon cancer.
