SCIENCE class.
key word there, babe.
any creation story is a work of MYTHOLOGY.
this is the same reason we don't have pastors teaching science class...

Hi!
Prometheus was ancient Greek, a lot of the bible was written in Greek, at ancient Alexandria in Egypt!
Fire was used by man, for thousands upon thousands of years 'before' the bible, or even the Greeks.
It was used by mankind, long before the creation, by man, of the monotheistic 'god', worshipped by Jews, Christians and Muslims today!
These topics should be taught in schools, if only to educate children, to the many and varied historical belief systems, from the past and of the evolution of the present day religions!!
Science is correct!!!

Intelligent design isn't interested in suggesting which god was or wasn't the creator of the universe but simply if intelligent agents can be detected in the design of living organisms. These fictitious questions are simply an attempt to obscure any possible enquiry that will ultimately fail. Despite the many attempts the ID theorists are gradually gaining more acceptance within the scientific community both in America and more importantly globally and now have a number of peer reviewed articles and books. it is not in the interest of ID theorists to tell you who the designer is or isn't why is why names of personal gods wouldn't be included in science curriculum.

Sure. Kids are not nearly confused enough these days. Let's give equal time to all explanations. Also, Aristotle thought fire was an indivisible element and that its actions could be explained by its natural desire to acquire its correct place, above the sphere of air. Equal time to that too.

yes but Prometheus wasn't a god he was older than them he was a titan. if i.d. is to be taught why not we should write a non-christian science course which takes into account all religions and call it Complete Relativity and Atomic Physics Class or C.R.A.P. Class for short and a lesson planner for the teachers should be called Systematic Teaching Using Physics Interpretation and Discipline or S.T.U.P.I.D. Lesson planner

There was no secret of fire. Fires occur by self-combustion when something gets too hot then the next step is that it bursts into flame.
Either that or we stole it from the Devil`s inferno.
Take your pick

Exothermic reactions are natural.
Endothermic reactions are a gift of the gods to keep their gift of beer cold.

We should teach this as an alternative theory on the discovery of fire.
Thanks for letting us know about it. I'm drafting my letter to the Kansas School Board right now. (Although it might be a little easier to teach this theory in Athens, Georgia.)
