Evolution and God can co-exist peacefully.

Evolution is no more atheistic than biochemistry, farming, engineering, plumbing, art, law, and so forth.

Many evolution scientists are not atheists. Sir Ronald Fisher --was a distinguished theoretical biologist in the history of evolutionary thought. He was also a Christian and a conservative. Pope John Paul II was a social conservative and believed evolution to be a valid scientific study. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was a paleontologist and priest who taught that God guided evolution. President Jimmy Carter -- a devout and active Southern Baptist also accepted evolution as science.

The only people who have to choose between a God and science are those who have a literal interpretation of the bible.

ID is a belief, a part of creationism which is an extension of religion. But you don't seem to understand ID. ID proclaims evolution is true, but that some sort of intelligent designer initiated it. Still ID is a branch of "old earth" creationism, as it only fills in the blanks in scientific knowledge with their intelligent designer, who is, seen from scientific perspective, not that intelligent at all, because he made a lot of mistakes, and even over 99% of all creatures that ever lived, went extinct. Humans will go extict too one day.

I don't understand why they are considered mutually exclusive. Couldn't the Intelligent Designer have allowed room for evolution - His being the Creator and all? I'll admit that I don't know what God did that wasn't written down in the Bible, I'll admit that He may not have told man (read that human beings not males) everything - there may be some things that He knows and does that we could not even begin to understand.

I once had a nun tell me that she believed they (creation and evolution) are complimentary not conflicting. She is a college professor and teaches several of the science classes - including one on genetics. I tend to agree with her (and I'm not a Roman Catholic). Yes, I do believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior - and so did she. I don't think one has anything to do with the other. I love the history of the OT - just like I love the history of ancient Greece - but I live by the NT and Jesus' words - especially the "do not judge . . . . " parts, and the "love your neighbor as yourself" parts.

I don't know where it says in the Bible how old the earth really is - if it is gotten by adding up generations and the time God spent (His days, not ours) creating the universe - then we are assuming we fully understand God's time - which He clearly says we don't.

I think I'd rather just worship Him, love my family and my neighbors (wherever they live) and, live a Christ-like life because "as far as it is up to (me) I am to live at peace with everyone".

God bless.

Socrates said it best when he said I don't know. Stay opened minded and if you ever think you find the answer keep looking. Chances are you will prove yourself wrong. Here are things I believe.

1. Science is limited to human interpretation. Humans are limited to 5 limited senses. That is we can't see all light, hear all sounds, and so on. Also, life outside human perception, in my mind, is so much broader.

2. Spirituality- I believe certain truths about the universe can be found through spirituality. How these truths are interpreted is almost always skewed. Also, most people make up “truths” and claim they have a spiritual origin. In addition, translation can cause false doctrine. Yet, in this world of change, I sometimes wonder if there can be a holy flawless doctrine.

3. There is always the case that Science and or Spirituality could be flawed. To this I say yes and no to both. Pure science is not flawed as pure spirituality is not flawed. Yet, if they were both pure then they wouldn’t be called science or spirituality; instead they both would become one and be called reality. Science has been shown to have weaknesses when big industry and money becomes entwined with it. I have seen rushed college students alter data in order to achieve the desired results in a timely manner. Also, everyone has seen large companies persuade "scientist" to alter or misinterpreted data in the interest of profit or to not get sued. Spirituality can be flawed by similar elements only in a different fashion. Politics have decided many religious arguments. Anytime spirituality is brought into this world of change it too becomes religion and begins changing. Many people become spiritual leaders not for search of truth and reality, but rather for fame, power, or other selfish reasons.

Remember if someone is trying to get you to believe something always question their motive and what they hope to gain.

Good Luck!!!, in your search for truth.

Intelligent Design...

Evolution. If this world was designed by anyone, the word "intelligent" should be left out . Anyone or anything can do a far better job of designing. Remember, if all the beautiful things of the world were the plan of some "god", he also planed the disease, starvation, murders, hurricanes, floods, and all sort of misery.
If the Holies want to take credit of the good, they also take blame for the bad.

because of the fact that an atheist does not have self belief in deities and clever layout argues a deity created existence i might say its no longer some thing maximum atheists embody. in basic terms a stoop. As for we did no longer come from monkeys, evolution under no circumstances mentioned we did. in basic terms creationists and IDers who don't know it ever say that. We do in accordance to ultimate data share someone-friendly ancestor with apes interior the distant previous. Chimpanzees have one greater chromosome than people do. no remember if that's genuine we share someone-friendly ancestor we could constantly be waiting to ascertain what surpassed off to that chromosome. Researchers have got here across it. Chromosome 2 in people is actual the fusion of two chromosomes that have remained separate interior the chimpanzee line. on the tip of each chromosome is a marker stated as a telomere which often looks in basic terms on the ends. yet in human chromosome 2 it additionally looks interior the middle, marking the place the two ends fused. that's barely one small actuality that extremely demonstrates reliable data of person-friendly descent.

I believe that GOD in his intelligence designed the heavens and the earth and every living creature, he designed the world, the plants, she seas and what evolved is a result of what was already designed by the Creator.

Do not make your God a God of the cracks. God that exists only in the cracks of what you can explain is no God, he is just a crutch to help you until you find a way to explain those cracks.

God created everything. Even evolution. We have to accept that in order to go on from here. Let's go.

Nothing in Evolution excludes Intelligent Design. So it is possible to believe in both. It is simply God, and not meaningless change, which is the controlling force behind evolution.
