CRYING RIGHT NOW! please please help!?

Question

Okay yesterday I had A Sleepover with a few freinds.
My mom said dont take the memory card to the digital right and i begged so she gave in. anyways. at the party i took a few pcitures right.
then from what i heard i think i left it on. then i go check it and all the memory is dleted.
all 358 photos.
photos of my bro's communion. my 7 year old cuzin from italy. my cottage this year and last year. my trip to quebec. ETC ETC ETC

when i found out the files were dleted the ruined the WHOLE party cuz i started bawling my eyes out because i was scared my mom was gonna be really mad. i knew she was obvilulsy gonna get amd but i swear i never did it.

when she picked me up today i was in BIG trouble. no phone, clean up the whole hosue and basically nothing. stay in yur room except for whne yur cleaning or eating or crapping.
i snuck on the comp.

ive tried a few programs to recover the files but thy dont seem to work for me.
any advcie?
to get the files?
or help w. mom?

your mom is as mad at herself (whether she admits it or not) as she is at you - she knew better than to let you out of the house with it before the pics were downloaded or printed and she caved in - that's why she's mad at herself

but don't point that out to her - it's something helpful for you to know but will make it worse if you say it to her

take your punishment - you know you messed up - and apologize for the lost pics - agree to never take the camera again if the pics aren't downloaded first

call a camera shop and ask them if there is any way to retrieve the pics - maybe, maybe not

finally - things like this happen in life, learn your lesson and move on

First of all you need to serve your punishment because even though you didn't do it deliberately, you were responsible for the camera when the problem occurred. Next, contact a reputable camera shop and see if there is anyway they know of to try to retrieve the memory - that's what the memory chip is for and it is possible it's still there somewhere deep inside (and be prepared to forego your allowance for awhile if need be because it could be expensive to retrieve those images). If a camera shop isn't able to help you you may be able to get a really good computer type guy to work on it - look into Information Technologies for retrieval of the images. Honey mistakes happen u both are uoset so u need 2 jus calm down!! They r erased there is no gettn them back maybe they r on a diffrent card!! Is there any other camra cards? Jus an idea maybe u can send a disposal(at ur cost) 2 your cousin in Italy have him take pics of him & italy other family & did any1 else have a camera @ ur lil bro communion? Maybe u can get doubles! Your mom will 4 give u!

Well if you uploaded your pictures on your PC, then the pictures should be saved to your hard drive/memory on the PC. Another, for example, I have Kodak and I registered my camera and all that and every time I take pictures, they are emailed automatically to me. So maybe you have that feature. Other than that, I do not think you can recover them.

About your mom, let her cool off, she has every reason to be angry; but ask her nicely you want to have a talk and explain everything to her. There's a saying, that the wise listen and stay quiet. Do the same and then your mom will realize she is OVER reacting- it's not the end of the world.

Good luck with your pictures. You may also want to go where you bought your camera and ask how to recover maybe they have a way of doing it that we don't know.

First of all stop crying. Its no big deal to recover the missing files. Just don't save anymore pictures to the card until you retrieve the lost files.

sure. in basic terms have been given accomplished, truthfully. My suitable pal by way of fact the age of four (i'm 20 now) died in September in a automobile crash. this could be the 1st Christmas in sixteen years that we've got not been collectively. i admire and leave out her soooo lots. Sorry to hear that, My little brother did that to my camera and there was picture's like when my little brother left to war, and from hes party there were about the same amount of pictures you had, and all you can really do is just REMEMBER THOSE MOMENTS YOU HAD! ! ! !! !

Just tell your mom what my brother told me there picture, and I know it hurts not to have them but you have the people in them! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Try calling Best Buy or Radio Schack or something like that. You might be able to take the camera in to them and they could fix it....worth a shot.

I really don't have any advice for you but to just ask for forgiveness.

Personally, if I had that many pictures saved and they were that important, there is no way that camera would have left my sight without downloading them first. I think she should never have let you have the camera until she was sure those pics were safe. To me she is as much to blame as you are.

Wow, that sucks. Are you sure those pics weren't already downloaded to the computer? Look in the pictures file just in case. If not, you're out of luck! Sorry!
