I'm already 33 and I never learned to eat veggies.
The only veggies I can eat are potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, garlic and onion if you can call them veggies at all.
I only eat chicken, pork, beef and shrimps. No fish, other seafood... not much fruits either. The only fruits I can eat are mangoes, watermelon, cantaloupe...
I love breads, pizza, and pasta, especially sweets.
Are there any supplements I can take to make up for the veggies and fruits I don't eat? Thanks. I'm only 33 but already feeling a lot of bad things in my body.

It's never too late to change your eating habits. Supplements are OK, but your body isn't made to live on junk and pills, so they will not work as well as eating the healthy foods you are meant to live on. Please try some new and healthy foods. Remember that it takes several tries to build a liking for a new food. Try just a little, but be persistent. Try again in a few days, and again, and again. After several tries, if you just can't stand it, try something else. Also, remember that your taste buds are always growing and changing, and just because you didn't like it a few years ago, doesn't mean you won't like it now! Try to aim for a good variety of color in your diet, and keep refined starches to a minimum. Potatoes are good occasionally, but have you ever tried sweet potatoes? They are great baked! Tomatoes are extremely good for you, so they're a great choice and garlic and onions are also good for you. Try some carrots. If you don't like them cooked, you might like them raw with a little plain yogurt to dip them in, or you might like them glazed with brown sugar and orange juice. You very much need some green things in your diet. Start with milder tasting greens first. Green beans are delicious. If you get them small and fresh, they are very tasty and crunch raw, or you can cook them just until tender and add a little butter and salt. Delicious! You might also try some baby peas. Get them fresh, or frozen. Sugar snap peas, raw, make a fantastic crunchy snack. Remember to start slow, as these foods may cause a little gas or digestive discomfort since you're not used to them. You like breads! Great, especially if they are whole grain breads. Try some rye bread, multi-grain breads, etc. Read the label and make sure that a whole grain flour such as whole wheat is the first ingredient listed. I bet you would love rice! Try some brown rice with a little butter and salt. It's delicious!

Try some low fat dairy, too. We all need the calcium. Try a small container of yogurt. My son doesn't like fruit varieties, but he loves vanilla yogurt. Maybe that's a start for you, too.

Good luck. I really hope you can make some healthy changes in your diet. You will feel so much better, healthier and happier!

well the only things that were bad were the sweets! eat whole grain breads/pastas. Chicken (baked, no skin) is good for you as well as some red meat. Carrots are GREAT for you! do you like sweeet potatos? When eating the food you do llike do not saturate in butter or salt. Go to ivillage.com and under diet and exercise there are a lot of good tips. make sure you work out! cardio 30-45 mins 3-4 times a week and weight training 3-4 times a week. Go to your local gym and talk to a personal trainer

Cut back on sugar, foods with a high fat content, fried foods, and ground beef. And stay away from fast food and candy (or have those every once in awhile. Moderation is okay).

I snack on carrots, cereal (the good stuff, not the junk kind), with skim milk, fruits and veggies.

Hardly ever eat fried food, and when I'm in the mood for some meat, I use turkey sausage instead of ground beef.

Also, I try to go for a 45 min walk everyday now, since the weather's nice.

I always have to watch what i eat because i am a sprinter, so in order to be the weight i want to be and to be able to run i have cut out all junk food, i always have 5 a day of fruit and veg, and i only drink fruit juice or water. Also seeing as im training everday it could help you as well, so i recommend about 30-60 mins of just light exercise if you want. I also have brekfast, a snack, then lunch, then tea and then if i get hungry i have another snack. Its quite easy when you get used to it, im 15 so im pretty sure you will be able to do it as well.

THis is just my opinion. Try a new vegetable, say zuchini. I like my zuchini sauteed with onions. It is very good but you have to learn to accept a new flavor and texture.Add a few sprigs of asparagus to spaghetti suace by throwing the asparagus in a blender with the spaghetti sauce. Don't take supplements, learn to eat real food. Hang out with people who love to eat vegetables, it is amazing how better food looks when you are with someone who eats them freely. Experiment with vegetables and don't be afraid of throwing anything away. It will help you to remember that you do not like sauteed zuchini and onions. Add flavored olive oils to your vegetables to enhance the flavor. Your meat selections are fine but I would add fish oil pills (omega 3s ).
