It's so simple a drink that only way to make it killer is to wave an orange at a tall glass of vodka on the rocks and then drink.
Add a bit of Ozuo.... and do add some orange juice to taste.

Use fresh squeezed low acid (never frozen) orange juice. Also....use a good quality brand of orange flavored vodka - the difference will be amazing. I'd stay away from anything else in the drink, though you put a slice of orange zest in the drink and serve it up. Don't use a lot of ice as it will dilute your drink's flavor too quickly.
If you must you could add a tiny bit of champagne for the bubbles, a half teaspoon of grenadine syrup, dash of lemon/lime juice, a small dash of gin(don't knock it until you tried it) a spoonful of framboise (dry raspberry brandy) - many years ago Galliano was popular. Too much of anything other than vodka and orange juice and the drink becomes something else....Good Luck

"killer"? Well you could squeeze your own oj and use a good vodka (Stoli, Belve, GreyGoose etc.) You could add a dry champagne to make it fizzy
