Kind of a weird sex question...

I have been with my boyfriend for quite a while now, and, all in all, things are going well.

Here's the situation - we are both monogamous, and have both been tested before we got into the relationship, and I am on the Pill, which I take relgiously. He still only wants to have sex with a condom. What gives? I mean, does he think I am being unreliable with my BC? That doesn't make sense, as he sees me take it all the time - at the same time, every day. I never miss a day. Maybe he thinks I might cheat? No way! I don't understand. We have been really responsible thus far, I just think that sex feels better 'ungloved', and since we are only sleeping with each other, have proof that we are both clean, and I am on BC, what's his hangup?

He's seen my paperwork, and I've seen his.

With the ever growing problems relating to STDs and the fallible issues with any form of birth control, its a wonder that more protection isn't encouraged as much by young adults. Birth control is not perfect, neither are condoms, but together they're are the safest combination possible. Ask him directly why he chooses to use protection for himself, and I'm willing to be its for safety reasons. I highly doubt it has anything to do with you being unclean or possibly cheating, otherwise he probably wouldn't date you or be intimate with you. Don't be offended that he wants to use a condom; in fact, it makes him more comfortable, therefore it will probably make sex a more enjoyable experience for the both of you.

sounds like he's a super responsible guy and wants to do his part

bc pills aren't 100 % even though you take them as prescribed

I teach sex ed and advise all the kids to use condoms - and specifically tell the boys not to leave bc as the sole responsibility of their partners - kudos to this guy for being a man and 'gloving up'. Maybe, just maybe, he's a good guy and wants to do his part - doesn't have anything to do with thinking you'll cheat or that you aren't responsible.

he is a little over concious sort of person & trying to be more preventive or
he wants to keep his hands clean so that whenever he wishes he can just fly away without any obligation though u try your best to use pill but it seems he is not going to trust upon u.
Don't worry go & get used to glove since my wife keeps the track record of my gloves more than me during sex & always reminds me to take a glove bfore ejaculation & for some guys the glove increases the time duration of intercourse as well.also
try him without glove some day u will find the difference. he might b using it for that reason.
in the end it is not that big deal go with it.Besides u did'nt tell wether u offer him oral sex with glove or without glove . If u do it without then your down vally also deservs real version not a gloved one.

At least he's careful. You know, that's a great trait for him to have, because there are many men and women that refuse to use condoms. Just keep using the condoms, and when/if he's ready, he will stop. It's his body too, so you'll just have to respect his decision and be patient. I doubt he thinks you're sleeping around or anything like that, maybe it's just a hard habit for him to break, or he's just not ready for that yet. Time will tell!

I know some people who are just really careful about anything and everything. I don't know what else to really say. I guess all I can say to you is be glad that he takes the prospect of a kid so seriously. It's obviously a big deal to him.

maybe he is afraid of you getting pregnant, because the pill, like comdoms, is only 99% effective, so there is a small chance. if you are using a condom and the pill, there is almost no chance that you could get pregnant. ask him about that.

it never hurts to be too careful ....BC isn't 100% he may just be looking out that you don't get pregnant........ Still talk to him though and tell him how you feel.... telling us doesn't do anything, telling him makes a world of difference
