Document everything he can. Sooner or later it will serve him well.

My daughter just had the same problem, a manager who yelled at her constantly. She finally had enough, put together a list of the 'events' she had documented and sent in a letter to a district supervisor. She was transferred to another office and is happy as all get out.

You can dish it back if you know how to do it with professionalism. What is the super doing specifically that the kid can't cope with? I once had a boss that was so mean in everything she did, I finally confronted her that she was not effective toward me. But I ask her if she was having issues outside of work that I could probably help her iron out. She admitted her strain with her husband and we became friends thereafter.
