I find that most of the time they are pointless and counterproductive. I guess I need them sometimes. I just get tired of them.

Sweetie, why would you WANT to be a psychopath? That's the definition of it, you know, or at least *one* definition of it! We love you as you are!

You shouldn't turn them off completely. You should express some anger or resentment for your own needs so you don't blow up or go crazy later.
Otherwise the way of a stoic is to not be phased by anything. Studying some martial arts or practicing meditation may achieve some kind of centering result. Its not an emotion turn off but it can help you focus them.

Since we are human, we all experience emotions - good and bad. Some people chose to numb them by using drugs/alcohol which is only a temporary solution and something I would seriously NOT advise, since once you sober up, you still have to deal with them. Pointless as emotions may seem, without them, we wouldn't be humans, only mere robots.

You need emotions, If I had a choice, I would accept the pain and sadness I have been through in life so that I wouldn't lose the ability to also experience the happiness and laughter.

Yea you need a lot of practice though. Try to take your mind away from it using meditation and focus on other people. If you study other people then that might be able to help you. You should also read philosophy books, it teaches you to look deeper into words and life and emotions

Death.

It's not the emotion that is actually bothering you, I bet. It's more likely what you do with the energy that the emotion produces. Humans aren't non-emotional - we are subjective people, and denying that is removing our individuality. You can remove emotion by drugs, or death, but each lessens the person involved.

I believe that would fall under the category of "psychological warfare", but applied on a less hostile, mundane level.

You'll still have them, but you can train yourself not to show them. Develop a poker face so to speak. You might even be able to train yourself not to react specifically to them, but I think they will always provide some sort of motivation to your actions.

You would only hurt yourself by denying or rejecting your emotions, but remember. They are temporary. They move through you, taking you by storm and then dissapating. Move through them. You are yourself, not your emotions. Be aware of them, and through that, control them. They will pass. Patience and foregiveness will get us through anything. Blessed be.
