I had a darkroom years back and hate to just throw everything away. Does anyone have any ideas?

You could sell it to some people who would love it. Students or people just looking for that kind of stuff... Let me tell you, if I had the place for it, I'd have a darkroom and would always be in it! I just love it!

I'd be happy to take it. I'm on the verge of abandoning digital altogether and need some darkroom gear! Email me at nickleen1@msn.com if you want to work something out!

In as much as digital photography has made leaps and bounds, print technology hasn't made the profound jump the same way that digital camera technology has unless of course you consider lightjet printers, but most people don't have $150,000 for that kind of thing
So despite the big push to go digital, there is actually a resurgent interest in silver based photography because of the quality and the archivability. I suggest you sell your equiptment on craigslist.org and sell it locally. Just because photo equiptment is old doesn't mean it is bad or obsolete.

If you're looking to sell it, place an ad in a local paper. We have a Pennysaver paper here, so it's inexpensive.
There's also ebay, of course.

And if you just want to give it to someone who will put it to good use, try freecycle.org.

Or maybe you know of relatives that might be interested in a new hobby? Just a suggestion.

Good luck!

Sell it to me. The esthetic pleasure of the hands on process is an integral part of this artforms's beauty which digital cannot duplicate.

Sharkskyn is right craigslist is the way to go. You can also donate it all to your local community college. If they cannot specifically use it themselves, they can find some deserving students who can use the stuff.
