Basic Cookie Dough
Ingredients:
2 sticks Unsalted butter
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
3 c Flour
1/2 tsp Baking soda
3/4 tsp Salt
Pam
Preparation:
in a large bowl, beat butter with mixer for 1 minute. gradually add sugar and beat until smooth. beat in eggs 1 at a time, then vanilla.
measure flour into large sifter over dinner plate. add baking soda and salt. sift flour mix into egg butter mixture. beat on medium speed until dough is smooth. if dough is sticky, beat in a few more tablespoons of flour.
remove dough from bowl, form into 3 balls, and wrap each in plastic wrap. refrigerate for at least an hour or overnight. dough may also be frozen.
when ready to bake, preheat oven to 375. set the dough on work surface for 5-10 minutes ot until pliable and knead 4-5 times to soften. coat a baking sheet with pam.
roll out cookie dough to about 1/4 inch thick. cut out cookies with a table knife or 3 inch cookie cutter. reroll the scraps and cut out more cookies.
palce cookies on the prepared baking sheet 1 inch apart bake for 10 minutes or until bottoms start to brown and tops are firm. remove with a spatula and cool on wire rack about 15 minutes.

1 cup lgt brown sugar - packed
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup sugar, granulated
2 eggs
Directions
1. Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto waxed paper. 2. Beat
shortening, butter and sugars until well mixed. Beat in eggs and
vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until soft dough forms. 3. Divide
dough into 6 equal portions. Shape into rolls about 1 1/2" in
diameter. Wrap each in foil and freeze. OR, if you prefer, flavor
the 6
different portions according to the notes that follow. 4. Slice
frozen rolls about 1/4" thick. Arrange cookies 2" apart on an
ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or
until lightly browned.
NOTES: Coconut cookies: Mix 1/2 cup flaked coconut into 1/6 of dough.
Pecan cookies: Mix 1/2 cup chopped nuts into 1/6 of dough.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
This is the most basic cookie dough recipe I know. Bakes best at 350 degrees F.

Best in the World Sugar Cookies
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
20 TBLS unsalted butter softened but firm
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Whisk dry (first 4) ingredients together, set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients just until incorporated. Chill dough at least two hours. Roll out half of the dough 1/4 inch thick and cut out. (or some into a ball and pressed into circle w/ bottom of a glass) Place 1” apart on greased baking sheet. Bake in middle rack of oven for 10 minutes.

Snickerdoodles
1½ cups sugar
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
½ cup shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1. Heat oven to 400ºF.
2. Mix 1½ cups sugar, the butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
3. Shape dough into 1¼" balls. Mix ¼ cup sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

6oz flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 oz butter
3 oz granulated suger
1 oz brown suger
1 egg
vanilla essence if you like
then just add the 4oz of chocs you wont to put in
cook in a moderate oven ( 350 f mark 4 ) for about 10 min
i some time's you soft sweets as well the kids love them
