excercise never hurts, but it could also be your mattress or how you're sleeping. Perhaps you should try a new mattress first :) Also, a chiropractor can help you keep lower back pain at bay and give you some exercises to keep it limber as well. Good luck!

yessir exercise helps my back. I strained my back during work and was paralyzed the day that it happened. Ever since then, for 2 yrs my back has been hurting and it hurts more in the cold (the stiffness in the lower back makes it hurt). Then i began running 2 miles at least 3-4 times a week and the cardio exercise helped me. RIght now I haven't had back problems for quite a while (since last year), and I have been lifting tons of furntiure because I work for a furniture rental company.
My uncle also taught me some stretching exercises that are good for the back
You can research them online but you should try to do it everyday

It may help. Are you under alot of stress? It's possible you are tensed up while you're sleeping, or if you sleep curled up and don't move much that could be why also. I was having a similar issue (my hips were painful and stiff in the morning) and I figured out it was because I was tensed up in my sleep in the fetal position. I fall asleep on my back now and it's helped me alot.

Yoga will help you out. You might also look into a different bed. If the yoga doesn't do much for you, go to the chiropractor and ask him/her to suggest a bed model. They will also give you some exercises to do at home.

exercise would definitely help, I recommend yoga, and taking a hot bath before bedtime to relax the muscles can also help. It's possible your mattress needs to be replaced with one that will support your back better.
