Definitely not Alaska. Mosquitos there are numerous and huge. It would probably be one of the high desert states, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, maybe Colorado. Once you get over about 5000 feet, fleas pretty much disappear, gnats are gone, and mosquitos become much scarcer, pretty much only around bodies of water and irrigated land.

Although Alaska is cold, it also has water, and where there is water, there are mosquitos. Try a drier state like arizona or the southwest. There is still water and mosquitos, but not as many.

My bet is Alaska, at least in winter though I understand that summer in Alaska produces mosquitos about the size of a 757 airliner.

I'm not sure which has the least, but I think Texas and Oklahoma have the most, and the nastiest.
