Cremation. I don't like being confined and although my body is just a shell I still wouldn't want to be in a box under ground. When my husband died he was cremated and until we scattered his ashes in the wilderness he really loved I couldn't even begin to heal. The site we chose was a beautiful glade in the national forest and was totally silent until his ashes were dumped from the box. At the moment he was out of the box a whole chorus of birds began singing. I knew then that he was free and where he belonged.

Take what ever parts that can benefit someone in need.
Embalm me so my family will be comforted and not terrorized when they see me. Celebrate my life and praise God for it in Church. (or if you don't like me praise God for my passing).
I prefer burial. I will be buried in a small Lutheran country cemetery where all of my ancestors, from the first arriving in the new world in 1828 are buried. The wife and I have our graves spoke for.
Really, it probably doesn't matter, however as irrational as this may sound, I hate burns. They effing hurt.
Also as a Funeral Director, I have taken many to the Crematorium. After cremation they rake your ashes (along with what ever residue of the previous clients are left), grind you and put you in a tin or plastic box. They then mail or courier your remains back to the Funeral Home.
Most Funeral Homes in North America have about 10-20% of their cremated remains remaining un-claimed sitting on a shelf. That isn't right.
Put me in the ground with my ancestors. It's good enough for them, its good enough for me.
Mark
P.S.: Put me in a concrete vault so the cemetery staff don't have to keep back-filling my grave.

Dust to Dust----Or--- ashes to ashes.
Burial Or cremation
Both are acceptable. Cremation does not cater for the kind of Remembrances the buried departed receive. So if you think that the place of your final resting place will have meaning then choose burial, if not Cremation is better.

Cremation and then turned into a synthetic diamond.

I think that would be cool and a conversation starter for my wife. I just wonder if insurance would pay for it.
Cremation freaks her out so she said I would be six feet under. I plan on putting her in a pine box out in the back yard. She thinks you need some fancy-smancy platnium, linen lined box.
I really dont care what happens to my body. I dont need it anymore.
EDIT: After reading some answers, I am really shocked that people actually care about what happens to their flesh after they die. When you die your body is nothing more than a old coat that you dont need anymore. Why care whether cremation melts flesh and consumes you or if worms crawl throughout your body breaking down your once important organs to become dirt?

I am always of the opinion that, if you don`t want something, or you have too much rubbish, burn it.
That`s how I see cremation. Also, cremation is cheaper and I would not insult the dead by giving them a cheap funeral.
