go to start/search and look by the date/time you downloaded it and look thru that list to see if it is in your computer. Or, if you know the name of the file do a search and type in the name.

Try downloading another file and see where the browser prompts you to save the file. You should see the previous downloaded file in that directory.

It depends where you saved it. Try doing a search for it using the windows search option in the start menu. That will searh all of your drive for the file.

1. You don't remember where you put it.
2. Your antivirus software took care of it and deleted it.

maybe u saved in some other drive by mistake.try doing a search!
