This is something I have noticed both in the U.S. and Middle East, and I hope to hear Muslims respond to this one. Should be interesting...lol.

muslim women do NOT have the same rights as men under qur'anic law. the qur'an may say they do, but, there are so many conditions of and requirements for women that indicate otherwise. this is why there are no muslim imaams; why muslim women have to cover themselves up more than men, and others. those are the most notorious, most over addressed but under explained questions.

Yes, technically, Muslim women DO have the same rights as men. I have a teacher from Egypt who is Muslim. Women are treated much better there than in places like Saudi arabia. I think it's more the form of the religion and government.

As for women priests, I assume you're talking about catholicism. I had a debate with several priests and a bishop about this one once. Here's the answer I got:

Jesus chose 12 MEN to be his closest followers. There were no women. Some argue that no one would've listened to a woman, but since when did Jesus care if he and his followers did something out of the norm?

I wasn't convinced and still aren't, but I'm atheist now, so it doesn't really affect me anymore does it?

First thing you should know is that Muslim don't have clerics/priests in the system.

Women has the same right as men in the Quran means that they have their own special place in the society. Similar to other religions, Islam gives the right to men to lead in the spiritual event. Women also has the same right provided that the event are among themselves.

Well I have got to admit I'm now not conversant in "the Adultery Law," nevertheless it is wholly myopic to advise that "if guys would hold it of their pants" that there would not be adultery. Make no mistake...even though I'm willing to agree that guys are much more likely to idiot round than females, extra females do it than such a lot of society thinks. According to at least one record I noticed, 20% of husbands cheat on their other halves...at the same time greater than 15% of other halves cheat on their husbands. Women are commonly extra secretive approximately their affairs than are guys. I suppose that, have been there an adultery regulation, each guys and females must be held to account beneath it. I do suppose nevertheless that during a few approaches, a husband is extra deprived by way of his spouse dishonest than is a spouse deprived by way of her husband dishonest. What I imply is, when you get beyond the genuine betrayal, if a girl has a little one by way of her lover, presumed paternity legislation would see the husband she cheated on pressured to aid a little one which isn't biologically his. By distinction, if a person has a little one by way of his lover, he will be pressured to pay little one aid for it. Either manner, in lots of circumstances the person is pressured to pay, whether or not he is performed whatever mistaken or now not!

And did you ever hear of christain female priests or jewish rabbi? none of these religions have woman as clerics ..but yes woman do preach islam along with the men and they go out for that but they can't lead the public that way as men do...there are many reasons for that the feminine behaviour , their prefrences , their mentural cycles, their household duties, their unstable emotional status etc...! but woman are no less than men in the sense that if man is given priority in one field , woman is given in other...like as husband and wife, man is given an upper hand for the reason he has to run the home and bring money and woman can sit at home in rest..but when it comes to father and mother , then woman is given supriority as mother over father..........you see one has to understand the relgion......one should not just pick up random things to point the religion out !
take care!

The Quran does not say Women have the same rights as men.

Women have womens rights and men have mens rights.

It is the mens right to become leaders.

In the major monotheistic religions, women are associated with evil. Very few sects allow women into positions of leadership.
