Florida Child killer John Couey was sentenced to death last week for kidnapping, raping and murdering 9 year old Jessica Lunsford.

Couey takes her from her bedroom, holds her prisoner for 3 days, sexually assaults her, promises to take her back home then bounds her, covers her with two garbage bags, digs a deep hole, puts her in it then fills the hole with dirt.

Forensics determines Jessica sufforcated to death slowly but not before she managed to poke two tiny holes in the garbage bags with her little fingers. Jessica was found cluthing a stuffed dolphin her daddy won her at a carnival.

What crime could be more horrific that this?

I remember this case well. It was one of the worst stories i've ever heard. I can't imagine how a parent goes on after knowing such details about their child's last moments in life. I can't imagine how her dad kept his composure in court. Yes, as a parent of a small child, this is the worst case scenario. Just horrible beyond imagination.

Equally horrific was the case here in Ohio of Marcus Fiesel. He was a little autistic boy who was taken from his mother and put into state custody after she neglected and left him living in terrible conditions. Little Marcus was adopted by this family who only wanted him for the extra money it brought in, and were given to tying the little boy in closets so they wouldn't have to deal with him, among other things. Well, the 'mother and father' were going to a family reunion and didn't want to take Marcus. So they tied this 5 year old in a closet, taped his mouth shut, and left for a few days. When they came back he was dead. So then the 'father' and his girlfriend (yep) took Marcus's body and burned it to ashes and threw it in a chimney of an abandoned house. Then all three of them concocted a story about Marcus going missing in the park. It was a horrific story, and really tore me up.

Anyways, sorry to ramble on, but I can't stand this kind of stuff happening to little kids. Breaks my heart.

Nothing

I think the death penalty is way to good for this type. They should be given a sentence to give there life back to the public. They should be sent away to a testing facility never to have contact with any family member, in a sense like they are dead. They should be given the worst of the worst disease and tested on repeatedly. Eventually they would die slowly from a deadly disease while suffering. In the end maybe some child could be saved with the research.

While the crime you mentioned is extremely disturbing, there are more cases that are equally if not more disturbing. These are the things nightmares are made of.

How about the Steven Grant case in Michigan? The guy who allegedly, I use this term loosely since he hasn't been to trial yet, killed his wife and dismembered her, then had the nerve to report her missing on Valentines Day? Her torso was found wrapped up and in the garage of their residence. Nice, all while their kids were there...

Is it not society's responsibility to behave all on its own? Or should we just wander around aimlessly oblivious to such crimes?

Surely the death sentence for the man you mentioned will not come fast enough!

When I read stories like that, the first thing I think of is my own beautiful daughters and what the parents must be going through. As a parent, I would ask only for 10 minutes alone in the room with him ... and a baseball bat. Just 10 minutes of privacy.

But then again, I'm from Texas and have no problems putting rabid dogs down. It's not pleasant but it is necessary.

Sadly, I have heard too many similar stories.

I cannot understand why people would NOT support the death penalty in cases like these. This man needs to die. In the old days, they would of strung up in a tree. Now we let him live, we house him, and feed him and we will even protect him from other prisoners (since child killers are highly sought targets).

We really should just drag his sorry *** into a yard and shoot him. One bullet is much cheaper afterall. Kill em' and forget about em'!

I haven't seen anything worse than this in a LONG time. This man deserves to be thrown in with the general population of any given prison. That would be a very fitting death sentence.

Bush is accountable, Bush Is stupid this is evidence, it would be utilized in a courtroom of regulation. and those accountable of Crimes against Humanity would desire to circulate to penitentiary or face a Firing Squad. perhaps if that became into to take place, people who would procure their Evils upon the the remainder of the international would think of two times earlier committing acts of Bushit! (and that i agree, Wild and Woolly became right into a extra advantageous avatar)
