Yes. I am free from the fear others have of the present and future. They see the present government (in the US) and look at the current crop of contenders. If that doesn't bring despair, nothing will. I am free from that knowing what God has promised to do soon . I realize no man or group of men cam bring solutions to earth's problems, especially ones man has caused. Only God has this power.

I am free from the confusion of false religion. Beliefs even the clergy can't fully explain. They certainly do not know enough about the Bible to give even a partial explanation. Most of these things come from pagan origin so are impossible to bring logic or reason into.

I am free from the fear of death. Due to bad health, I am closer to it than most on this forum. From study, I know what the Bible really says about death. One critic of the Bible recently said it is ridiculous to say anyone knows what happens after death as known of us have died, come back, and written about it. True, but we do have our Maker who would know and has written it down for our benefit. We die because of the original sin of Adam. In death, it is likened to sleep. I do that well now. There is no pain or pleasure for that matter or knowledge of anything. (Romans 5:12; Eccles. 9:5,10)

Absolutely. Not just the religious truth which has set me free, but also figuring out what I wanted out of life by being truthful and responsible to myself. Being less judgmental here on Yahoo Q&A has helped because the truth in this position is no more than an opinion. The thing I am working on the hardest is being less judgemental towards situations. The truth of most of those situations is that God made all men equal and he doesn't like us to judge. Respecting one's truth is very important. When you live in the truth it will set you free to a happier and healthier life!!! Great question!!

good question - I always wonder what that even means. cos most of the time if the truth is being hidden, its because its not very nice, and so when you hear it your like, oh that's awful. whats good about that. and unless you're incarcerated, how can you be set free.
ok so if you were on trial for something you didn't do then the truth could set you free, but apart from that I just dont get it. please explain.

Yes, the truth has set me free from the curses that comes from sin.

Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your LAW IS THE TRUTH!

I Yahchanan (John)3:4—
Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Laws; for sin is the transgression of the Laws.

The Seventh Day Sabbath is a Law,
one of the Ten Commandments; to
break this Law is sin.

Any other teaching you are entrapped into serving Satan and are enslaved to sin.

Depends. At John 8:31, Jesus said "If you remain in my Word you will know the truth." So if a person drifts away from Jesus' word, the truth wil will NOT free him religious lies like hellfire and the trinity.

Somebody once said that in time the truth may set you free but it will drive you crazy before it does.

Yes - set me free without doubt. All religious belief is a form of mental illness to a greater or lesser degree.
