Well you have one of the following scenarios:

A) You have installed the software on multiple systems and are trying to activate it.

B) Program Warehouse has given you a duplicate CD Key for the application and someone else has already registered it.

If "A", you won't be able to install it as the activation process is designed to stop software piracy. If "B", you have two options. First try working through Program Warehouse to resolve the issue. If that doesn't work, contact Microsoft and let them know that you believe Program Warehouse is reselling duplicate/pirated software and CD Keys.

** Edit **

You've been had. If you look at the FAQ for the site (link below), they practically spell out that the software is illegal.

"Q. Will I be able to register my software?
A. All titles DO NOT qualify for registration with the provided serial number. The serial number is provided for installation and updating of the product only. If you do not need technical support, you will not need to register anyway. If you want to register your product, you will have to buy retail at full price. "

If you read this correctly, they are telling you:
- Don't register this software, it won't work because it has already been registered.
- Don't try to get software support because this is illegal software.
- If you want support, buy a licensed copy of the software rather than this pirated version.
- The registration/CD Key they provide is only for installation. You can't contact the vendor as this is an illegal copy.

Stick to the reputable software vendors in the future. If the price is way below market the site is likely pulling a scam.

I'm not quite sure what your on about...the XP pro you mention is a OS system you must be using something very similar..The MS Office 2003 is now abit long in the tooth...I believe you're probably looking for MS Office 2007 for your needs. Anyway, surely it would be much simpler too nip into PC world and purchase a copy and discus your needs

Well, it sounds as if you purchased a used piece of software...one that may indeed already be installed on another computer.

Have you queried Program Warehouse? That would be my 1st stop. Perhaps they've made a mistake...or perhaps they're not reputable.

If you need an alternative to Office, check out OpenOffice. It's free and provides choice over MSoft Office...and is compatible.

Good luck!

ur gonna have to contact Microsoft themselves and explain ur situation. 2003 has to be activated online, and the license only permits the instalation of 2 computers i believe, but no solution till you call them up

You have been scammed - it is a pirate version and has already been registered with Microsoft.

That'll teach you to buy counterfeit software.
