Depends on how you put the songs on to the CD-RW....
To use as CD-RW as a "re-writable" disc, you have to format the disk, a process which takes about 40 minutes each CD. It also reduces the amount of files you can store from 700mb to 530mb. (The other 170mb is used to store inforamtion needed to make the CD re-writable).
If you did not go through the format process, the Windows will treat the CD-RW as if it is a CD-R. Once you write to it, you can no longer change the content of the disk. You just converted it from a CD-RW to a CD-R. Depending on the brand and the CD Burner, you may be able to "erase" the CD and then format it for use as a CD-RW. But an erase removes EVERYTHING, and does not work on all burners.

Usually you cannot rid of one song, but you will need to clear the entire CD.
Sometimes, with a CD-RW, if you go into a burning program, it will show whats on there already. Simply select that song and press delete. It wont remove it, but simply rewrite over it, and not play it. If that wont work, I'm not sure why, as it works for me.
I also usually don't like CD-RW, because they always seem to break down after i reformat it. They never seem to burn again.
Good luck!
